Hello my name is HalfdanI have enjoyed many of your videos for a long while now and I just want to thank you Mike. I havent had the best luck with weather or timing to get out the in the woods. I live in western Norway so I dont get a lot of sunny days, and the laws for fires are very strict. From apr 15. to Sep 15. it is illegal to have a fire in the woods. This gives me about two weeks of good weather bushcrafting before I have to use a gas stove. I am left feeling weak when I cant bushcraft just a little bit. You really help me to escape this unfortunate situation. Its a real life saver to have your videos. Thank you so much for your works and all my skills are thanks to you. Ive been planning on making some videos of my own, but Im not the type of guy that can edit like you, any advice?

You and your Dad are gentlemanly badasses. Do you have ticks to deal with there? I am in US/CA and if you go out now you're almost ensured to get one or more on you, esp if you push through any vegetation. Shame because they carry disease but right now is one of the best times to be out. Another guy who i really enjoy is Joe Robinet. I hear he's going to Scotland in the Fall and while I'm not so american as to think that means he'll be around the corner from you, at least he's over there. Collab perhaps? You guys are different but, authentic and I think you'd get along; wouldn't recommend it if I thought it would translate into a night of awkward silences and discord.

Hey Mike, great video and love all of your series'. me and my kids have been watching you for a long time and hoping to really get into some hardcore camping at some point soon. They are at about that age and our climate (southern Ontario) is close to yours, a few weeks behind. We are severely limited by the insects. but drive will make it happen. I love the extra effort you and your fellow videographers put in setting up shots; the 'waking up' shot at 32: 45. You got out of bed, set up the camera, get back in bed, and wake up for the camera. awesome entertainment. Thanks.

Hi Mike me again, sorry to bother you, you are so right what you are talking about at the end of your video, people that want to leave you bad comments or put you down aren't worth the time or effort, you are a legend in my eye's I'm still in the process of trying to get out there and do what you do, you are an inspiration, thank you my friend. Can I ask what the cordage is you are using on your tarp and is it a DD 3x3 tarp? Look after yourself pal and I'm already looking forward to the next video

Awesome video Mike I totally agree with what you said about the negative comments, at the end of the day they are just keyboard warriors who knock someone for trying to share their passion and knowledge and in my experience are just plain and simply jealousKeep filming as long as you love what you do it doesn't matter if you have five or five million subs. rant over: ) Hopefully I will get to meet you at the Bush craft show.

I love the pep talk at the end. You are so successful because you obviously love what you do and it shines thru. 2. 7 k likes vs 61 dislikes. Looks like you are definitely doing something right. As long as you keep making videos, I will keep watching. I love the good info, content and relaxed atmosphere of your videos. And when dad or Dustin come along, you can feel the love and teamwork you all have. Thumbs up from me.

Mike, I always appreciate the effort you put into your videos. The bonus is that you really seem to be enjoying every minute. I know that you folks in the UK don't have the vast public lands available to you that we have here in the U. S. but you have found some great places to enjoy nature, practice primitive skills and do some great camping. Looking forward to your water trips and more time spent at the Viking Camp.

That Method for hanking the cordage is one of the best things I learned when it comes to knots and lines - Whether Camping, Boating, or Fishing - It's Great. Did you show your Dad? Surprised if he didn't already know that but if he doesn't he might like to know for his boating lines. For Dock, Bow or Fender lines use the elbow and palm, crossing over the forearm. Works for Extension Cords too.
