Idea, get a large roll of garden fabric E6000 glue and brass eyelets and the crimping tool and a few cans of ever dry or another water proofing spray. Cut the the garden fabric into sheets or panels and fold over the edges and use the E6000 glue to glue the hems down leaving a one inch hem around the edges and three to four inch hem on one side for the brass eyelets. You can then lay the hydropobic garden fabric sheets panels like shingles to cover your dwelling. Its water proof yet is still able to breathe. If you want a more long term use of garden fabric panels mix up some secure set foam and use a paint brush to lay a even coat over each panel has you lay them with the foam then expanding and curing water and wind tight and is a layer of insulation. You could also use this concept to build a bug out hidden bunker with a little wood shack above the entry to the secret MAN cave

I watched all the episodes. what i can tell. mans cut branches fry food, drink ale in woods. that's short. the food is shown remarkably, but it is not a series about recipes in the fresh air, and about the house of Vikings. However, the construction of the Viking house did not see at all. Further. If this thoroughly windswept hut consisting only of the roof is presented as an authentic Viking house, then I am surprised how they have not died out in the 8th century. It is impossible to live in it. To live a full life, not a video about DIY. Summer mosquitoes and rain, winter wind and cold. Yes, we in the childhood houses of twigs when to go Hiking or to the apiary went more serious we used to live before winter could. And this tent only for show-off and promotion canal. I'm disappointed.

I have binge watched all of your episodes on building the viking house. I have to give you fellows great kudos for the job youve done. Its been a great advertisement video for Bushcraft tools, as well, and I would certainly buy them if I were ever in the same situation. I could never have done it myself and I learned a lot from you. Not to cast aspersions, but I fail to see how a Viking or family could survive an arctic winter in that abode. Was there any kind of insulation inside that kept the wind and moisture out? Im 72 and live vicariously through you guys. Keep up the good work.

To start off I'd like to say that I have loved watching this all come together. Reminds me of being young and just running around the woods building anything I could imagine A few things I was disappointed not to see was the upgrade to the woodshed, the front to not be enclosed with a door, the improvement of your bed, the stoning of the floor and a house for the pup that helped you in every episode Haha otherwise I enjoyed this series so much thank you guys for sharing this journey

I'm claustrophobic so the pallet shed wouldn't work for me. I don't do well in extremes of heat or cold either, but I just might be able to live in this house. Maybe add a front wall with a door covering. I especially love the cooking segments. Hubs and I have enough cast iron to open a store
