I'm back at the bushcraft camp This time I'm focusing on improving my 'A' frame shelter. I'm using a tarp to make it more waterproof and I also made it larger to store logs and have more space etc. I finally finished the 4th wall of the camp Took me ages but it's done now. I only have about two more walls to finish and then I can build the second shelter which I plan to be a lean-to. Oh, I also made a chopping log which you can see in a recent bushcraft video I did separately. I decided to make a small cup table too, from an old log I found. The camp is really starting to come along now. Didn't manage to finish putting the bracken on the shelter, so that will need to happen next time I go there. I will also start thinking about making a fire pit. Thanks for all your input guys Any more suggestions as to what you think I might need in camp, please comment below. I wanna say thank you for you (some kind of) tutorials like this. At school a lot af people at school laugh at me because am a girl and like things like this, i build a camp and its pretty similar to yours. When i took my crush with me (a girl(im gay) she liked it very much, now she's my girlfriend and we expanded the camp very much together. We slept for 3 times in there. So THANK YOU

Thank you for your videos, I really enjoy them. Today I went for a drive in the wood and instead of using propane fueled cooking device I decided to go with a real fire. My food never tasted better, I even cooked a few trouts that I've caught an hour earlier. My food has never tasted this good Watching your videos encourage me to spend more time outdoors. Thank you from east coast Canada.

I like the work you're doing for your camp and with it being timber based, it is so what labour intensive. I have to say that it looks very smart. The pouches and holder are pretty good and sturdy looking. Enjoyable video, so very pleased that Joe in Canada advised that we should come and look you up. Happy to sub. Take care.

Having not watched the whole video I just wanted to say that the A frame is NOT currently a shelter. I am now seeing that you are waterproofing it with a tarp. It is now starting to make sense and look great.

Hi TA Outdoors, I was just wondering how you get permission to use those woods and which woods people are allowed to set up camps and fires? I've wanted to do this, but I'm not sure where I'm allowed to do it. Many Thanks.

SO nice that your Dad is helping out with filming. He's awesome. I LOVE your videos. You were recommended by Joe Robinet. Like him, you are interesting, entertaining and funny in a unique way

even if it is damp out, you should clear the pine needles and leaves away from where you are setting your stove. your camp base is looking good (I have already watched several later videos)

Query: Why do the walls 2 logs wide? The fire reflector is only one log wide and rather well sealed. Would it not be AS effective with less work to do the walls one log wide?
reply

if. u get a larger saw blade and put some key rings in the end you can cut a sapling split the ends and make a makeshift bow saw which will save u sawing time

but why do you make those walls double? it's more easy to make them sigle piece on top of other and put some clay in the gaps. that's just my opinion.
