See this is what I support. Sanctuaries and proper zoos, places that want to help. Though I will argue that I have seen a lot of sanctuaries that have instagrams for their pages to help spread the word more. I also see TONS of wolf dogs on Instagram who are amazing with them. They tell you the hardships of having them, why they are NOT pets, and educate on them versus forcing them to be something they arent. Also my only complaint with the video is that you used Juniper the Fox on Instagram. Maybe you just did a following example, but it was seen in a negative way. The girl who has Juniper has two other foxes who are fur farm rescues, and does her own care and rescuing for animals. She does a good job of educating people on her foxes and other animals she has in her care. In fact she took in a low content wolf dog, and eventually had to surrender her to a sanctuary due to her high prey drive (she couldnt be with the other animals because of this. She does a great job with animals and does a lot for them, so using her as a bad example is kind of a mistake. Yes she has a lot of followers, but she does a lot of good with that following.

In the beginning you showed the instagram account called juniperfoxx. I just want people to know that i follow that account daily and unlike the other accounts the woman who owns that account rescues all her animals and informs people daily about these animals and why not to get them. She even rescues possums and squirrels and releases them back into nature once healthy. Her foxes are special needs, one has a prosthetic leg. Not all of the accounts are horrible and full of idiotic people buying the wrong pets. If you look at the comments you can see her constantly correcting people and answering very valuable questions. Shes taught me a lot and taught many others as to why not to own a fox, what to do if encountering a wild possum, and much more. Shes always been clear that its not just the wonderful things you see online. She shows the bites she has gotten from her fox that drew blood and much more. Because thats the truth about how it is to own one. If i were you id follow her because i feel everyone can learn something from her.

I have this very scared Possum that lives under our trailer house and we don't know how he got there but if we call the animal control that will just kill it so we don't know what to do so we looked up what the proper food to give a possum and it said a virility of fruit and vegetables and some carbs so we feed him and we named him Perry. If u have any idea on what to do let me know. BTW I live in South Dakota.

Im grateful for this videos. So many have zero clue how much it takes to care for an exotic animal. We have 16 rescued animal's half of them being exotic. An they are my life from the time I wake up to the time I sleep. You give up so much to care for animals. I truly understand how big her and her teams hearts are. There is nothing cute or cuddly about keeping exotic animals as pets. They are beautiful and majestic and worthy of respect. You do not show any of that by turning them into pets. Also it's an illegal practice that is harmful to the animals and dangerously depletes the amount of animals in the wild.

Honestly might start becoming an activist. I dont agree with animal cruelty, I dont like that people can't migrate. Everyone should have chance at a new life with new opportunities. I want to help in some way with our pollution. Our world is dying and people dont see it or dont want to acknowledge it.

Most people think that they can just buy animals and have them as pets because they are cute. But what they don't realize is that they are either harming the animals or endangering other people or animals lives, because they don't know how to take care of the animals.

As some who now rescues in sugar gliders, I've seen the lack of care first hand pretty frequently, luckily nothing too severe yet. Thank you for this video. It's needed for everyone to see when they see how cool exotic animals are. Do your research guys

Juniperfoxx hers are not pets she keeps them because she works with animals and these cannot go back into the wild and so she takes care of two foxes a baby White fox, opossum and something else she knows the risk of owning them and so she treats them right.
