Each to their own, but compared to other hotels I've been to in Asia I find this a little OTT - take out the soft furnishings and you've got a great museum. I get that its designed for people who are completely into that, but I know from personal experience that a single day clambering over ruins and gazing up at statues is plenty for most folk. Your hotel should be a refuge from whatever is outside - esp important on a crowded island like Java - and I just dont get that sense from your (admittedly beautifully produced) video - I'll stick with places like the Mandarin Oriental even if that might be a bit predictable for some. Thanks for the video.

19: 38 there are bugs crawling all along the basin wall. I would be on the phone to the front desk SO fast. That is not acceptable. I would demand an immediate suite change and upgrade, and expect an apology and possibly a complimentary night or dinner. No bugs in the Suites My wife would be standing on a chair screaming in terror, if she saw that lol Would ruin her whole trip. She would be checking for bugs everywhere after that

Im an amanjunkie myself, I live in indonesia and I have visited all aman resorts in indonesia, and youre absolutely right because theres no other resort that could top amans service, I just got back from amanjiwo last week and it was amazing, you should try amandari in ubud bali, its my favorite aman so far in indonesia: )

It is surely the best in Java, but not in Indonesia. You have to go to Nihi Sumba - it is just so incredible, I am sure you will love it And it is not much more expensive than Amanjiwo - in Mid-High season rates start from 960 and the villa is huge, but if you go for low season you can get it for 840.

This is by far the video with the best soundtrack; so relaxing yet epic. I listen to it everyday; if this is from Epidemic Sound, how do you filter to find the proper melodies? Wwowwhh This resort is very near from my house but I never stay in there because the charges is very expensive But it's very worth it #Amanjiwo is one of great resort in the world that be combinated with the borobudur temple and the hills nature. The beautiful place on Earth I think

I'm Indonesian and live in different part of Java Island, but never heard of this place. Thank you for making this video, taken so beautifully I thought you used a stabilizer when you shot this but it turned out you only use phone camera held by hand (seen from the shadow)

very happy to have regularly played Gamelan at this hotel (2007 - 2009) and was carried away by the atmosphere of peace in this place. sangat bahagia pernah regular memainkan gamelan di hotel ini dan terbawa suasana kedamaian ditempat tersebut.
