Man I’ve made this trip hundreds of times! Well not from LA but from Simi Valley CA, so I always took the 14 to Pearblossom Hwy(138) to the 18 in to Victorville then I jump in the 15, People from Ventura call it the Backway to Vegas! You can also stay on the 14 through Palmdale to the 58, Barstow-Bakersfield Hwy to the 15, drops you in just above the Outlets at Barstow on Lenwood Rd. I only did that way a handful of times just for a change of scenery because I literally was making this trip every 3 to 4 weeks for almost a decade! So your video brought back so great memories!

I usually go to LA once a year, because I have family there. Every time I go, we usually either borrow a cousins car there or we rent one. In February next year when I go back to LA, I want to try out this drive with the car I end up driving. I’m pretty excited! Hopefully it turns out exactly how this video was. Great video!

Coming from Texas, Los Angeles drivers are ass at driving. Why do you need to go 15-30 miles over the limit And don't get me started with not knowing how to use a light signal. At least warn someone when you're about to yeet into their lane.
Anyways, nice video!

I remember going to Vegas, but now I can't go anymore, because of things that got in the way (And idk how to bring these things with me to Vegas. As there is a policy against it (I think you can guess what it is)

I'm moving from LA to Vegas in a few days so I've been rewatching this video for the past week to mentally prepare myself for the drive lol. Vegas is absolutely beautiful, especially at night! Thanks for this video

If you want a REAL scenic drive in California you gotta drive through Big Sur and Carmel on highway 1 on the central coast. It’s hands down the best scenery in all of California, Yosemite probably comes second though

Used to make this drive a lot with my gf back when we lived in the high desert and always loved it. We used to stop at the worlds largest thermometer for an airplane bottle to cheers once we got to Vegas

Love this video. Unfortunately the music gave me a headache. I kinda get it supposed to be "relaxing" type of music but for some reason it gave me a headache hearing after awhile. Still nice post.

I have seen bumper to bumper traffic, for a significant portion of the return trip, on a Sunday afternoon. That was a number of years ago too. You picked the perfect time of the day to drive it.

i live in la so i go to vegas alot. the drive there is always cool. but coming back on sunday afternoon is straight hell. so much traffic. takes twice as long to get home
reply

Given the fairly light traffic on Hwy. 60 and the heavy southbound traffic on Hwy. 15, you must have travelled on a Sunday, starting around 2 or 3 PM, am I right

Just started driving about 8 months ago and I'm very nervous taking my first long trip to Vegas driving by myself I'm sure I'll be fine wish me luck.

should have started the trip earlier, so as not to arrive in Las Vegas at night. at night you can't see anything in the footage
