Have you been up to the summit of Mt Ruapehu? - it's an other worldly NZ gem - the top is quite unexpectedly awesome. This is my favourite area of NZ and that's saying something since NZ has sooh much beauty. The outdoors is spectacular. Ciao.

I spent my 50ith Bday in NZ in Nov 2018. we put 2400 miles on our rental did both north and south island was a trip of a lifetime I want to move to the south island I took 3500 pictures and converted to a video slide show on YouTube. just look up my name cairo9544. if you want to watch: )

I very highly recommend a trip to Eastbourne, which is directly on the opposite side of the Wellington harbour. Its a gorgeous small coastal village with loads of bush walks and things to do. Its also where I live
