YBS Lifestyle Ep 7 - CRAZY TIGER SHARK AND DOLPHIN ENCOUNTER Crayfish Catch And Cook Sam: There is a video clip out there, I'm sure you've all seen, with a man filming tiger sharks in waist-deep water, and one of them bites off part of his leg. Now, I appreciate that we all like a certain amount of calculated risk in our lives. And some people more than others. But deliberately looking for an encounter with a dangerous predator-a predator that is known and documented as a predator that attacks, kills, and eats humans--looking for one of these with which to interact is really unwise. Especially when there is video evidence of an unprovoked attack. I get that it's a beautiful animal and we are seeing it in the wild rather than an aquarium, but that situation could have been really tragic for that young woman. Some people would even say that it is an obscene insult to the people who have been maimed or killed by these animals-like Bethany Hamilton, for example. I also get that people live their lives without any regard for other people's opinions, but please: the next time you are in a situation that could evolve into what we saw on the screen, please use a little more caution and discretion.

I know your a confident swimmer & all, but I must recommend a minimum of flotation attire. The unexpected occurs when you least expect it. An 8 by 3 piece of Foam through a Belt about the Waist is sufficient to Float you in an Emergency. Or a 16 ounce empty Water Bottle stuffed in your Trunks. Wearing it while Swimming is probably when you won't need it. Wearing it in the Boat is when you ought wear it. Some of the most common episodes the US Coast Guard is in response to People fishing in Breakers. Boat Off, Anchor Set, and the Waves bring the Boat perpendicular to the Wave Direction. The Off Motor Catching the Anchor Line & the Breakers Capsizing the Craft. People are usually quickly trying to start the motor or hanging over to untangle the Line when the Capsize occurs. An arm leg or head injury typically occurs when thrown over board leaving the Castaway in a weakened position.

I have noticed while diving that sharks are put off a bit by divers that are confrontational. They don't expect to be harassed while feeding. When you actually pursue them they get nervous and swim away.
