Look at you on this like white on rice Yours is the 1st video I watched on the details after it being officially announced Great info, and timelyI can't stand using the Mustang name etc. its a cool vehicle, it doesn't need to steal Mustang's name. If they wanted to make an electrified coupe, sure use Mustang, but a crossover, no. Makes me think back to when they thought Taurus was a bad/old name so they went with the number scheme. then back to Taurus later. Also makes me think about what Mitsu did with the Eclipse. I see what they are trying to capitalize on here and it makes more sense than what Mitsu did, but still not impressed on the name.

Outdated electric grid. Elites plan on eliminating all power except wind and solar panels. Availability of charging stations away from home and cost increases that are not figured in future dollars and costs. Blackouts and brownouts already occuring in the USA. Gee whiz, let's all be happy for this Grand Change in transportation without any idea of grid and power availability. The rushing towards it all without thinking about the complete big picture. I foresee a coming coast to coast trip in the future taking a week. What will happen in extreme cold or heat to battery power and travel distances? Oops

Wow Other than the fact that for some reason they decided to put the mustang name on it. I think Ford may have hit the ball out of the park with this one. I'm glad that it has actual decent interior room in the backseat, has a real actual gauge cluster like a car should. Very very impressive. 100 kilowatt DC fast-charging means it should be at least decent on road trips. And for getting the charging networks together under one control card. that's absolutely brilliant. Great review and great information as always Alex.

Your comment about aerodynamics being more important to an e-vehicle was underscored by the lack of door handles. Is there some sort of opening mechanism on an app or a key fob if you option for the key? Or perhaps you do the wave your foot under the door trick like they have on the Escape rear door? I bet they are calling this a cross-over so it doesnt conflict with their mission to get out of cars. Nice video. Very informative. I didnt even know this was in the works. Charge times looked pretty anemic, though.

I love your excellent, comprehensive preview. Thanks I agree, the interior is far better than I would have guessed from Ford (or Lincoln. Unlike some others, I personally have no problem with the floating tablet in the center-- I think it looks sharp in this case. However, I'm curious why you pan the Tesla center-mounted speedo when I don't recall you mentioning the same complaint for every Prius review you've done. Is it the _height_ of the speedo that puts you off the Tesla design (the Prius is higher-mounted?

Automobiles are being invented all over again If this is as big a hit as it promises to be, then eventually prices will come down and the charging network will expand exponentially. Ultra fast charging needs to happen and many existing gas stations will install those ultra fast chargers, and that electricity will come from green-sourced power. It will take a while to phase out internal combustion engines and oil changes Suddenly the future looks much brighter.

My take is that it looks pretty darn good and I don't mind them using the Mustang name at all. Actually, it probably helps them since I might not have been so interested if it hadn't had the name. Anyway, I'm not big on buying new cars (especially first year models) so I'll be taking a look at a 2022 model sometime around 2024. I think five years from now I will be very well positioned to throw down 30K on one of these.

STOP calling this vehicle a Mustang I'm 100% all for EV and AWD vehicles, but to call that abomination a Mustang is unholy, depraved and morally wrong. Are you telling me Ford is so mentally bankrupt that they could not come up with a new name for that car? Clearly they learned NOTHING from the Probe debacle. I am going to a Ford dealership as soon as this abomination comes out just so I can puke in the front seat

God please I hope no one buys this. This is a joke and I have now lost all respect for ford on pulling this crap. Mustangs arent cross overs, Ford needs to stop trying to copy some other company to try to compete. It just makes me so mad that ford would call this a mustang is if us mustang owners didnt already have to hear enough shit from a everyone else, thanks for screwing us ford. Chevy here I come
