2020 Nissan Versa - First Look

Nissans least expensive sedan gets a complete makeover for 2020. The exterior design has gone from awkward but acceptable to truly good looking for a sub-compact sedan in America. Horsepower figures remain svelte but have improved to 122 and we e told to expect similar low prices when the Versa goes on sale this fall. While the Versa might not light everyone on fire, its likely to be one of the least expensive vehicles in America to own, and thats a big win for me

I would have loved this type of look when I traded my 2014 maxima in for the 2017 versa (and basically downgraded when I did) now I have at least another year and a half before I can trade it in again. I never thought a newer year car would have everything manual until I got my versa so I was confused about why it wasnt like other 2017 cars that had keyless entry and all and told myself I would NEVER get a versa again. Honestly though if I didnt have a child and didnt buy things in bulks and need more space for all that I would go for this next time I can trade my car in but I think Ill stick with suv type vehicles from now on. Still really nice though

I drive a 2007 Versa, currently, that Ive found to be very reliable. But its interesting that theyre forcing the sedan, in us, given that the hatchback was way more popular, in previous model years. This is a disappointment, for me. However, in the plus side, the mileage seems to have improved. I do only about 30 miles per gallon, in mine. But I wonder how that affects its horsepower. I find mine to be very strong, for a 4 cylinder. Others that Ive tested, like the new Honda Fit, which is basically Hondas version of the Versa, while it was nicer, the engine was gutless, by comparison.

I have a 2019 Versa and its been awesome. Its the cheapest new car in the US, amazing gas mileage, great interior and exterior, big trunk, and doesnt look too cheap either comparing to the other budget cars. Speakers and bass is great too. Makes a bit of engine noise when accelerating but its expected for a car in this class.

If its built in Mexico, soon will be available here in Brazil as well. I guess by the end of the year. I own a B17 SENTRA and i really enjoyed the looks inside and outside, id really consider changing my Sentra for one of those. I dont see as a Downgrade. I think its a smarter car.

Buying a Nissan is like buying a Chrysler product. Its a gamble. You dont know if it will be reliable or not. I wouldnt trust this car with its CVT. Nissan is no actually known for reliabilty. You can buy a much more reliable car like a Toyota for a couple thousand more.

A huge improvement in looks, but the outgoing Versa also drove like a pig so hopefully this can be firmed up a tad bit and have better body control. Also the size increase seems to be bordering onto the Sentra category - wonder what Nissans plan is here.

Never buy a first year model car. Why buy it? If you dont drive it and test it out hard to say how good it is. Dont buy a car for its looks. Buy for reliability and performance and economy. Its a cheap Mexican built car cant expect much.

Nissan just needs to bring the Xterra back, redesign the Z, make the Pathfinder what it once was, bring the Juke back to the U. S, and then they are FULLY back in business. The new Versa is actually not an eyesore anymore, good job Nissan

At last. Nissan designer is on a roll. 2020 Sentra/Sylphy is also very good looking. Congratulations. Now the only thing they need to do is to dump the CVT to sell well. But we all know that will never happen.

The cars looks have definitely improved, and im glad that entry level cars such as this still have a place in America despite the trend toward crossovers & suvs, not that I have a problem with that.
