Thanks for visiting the show, you are one of my two favorite online reviewers (the other being KBB. I have an iA and it delivers fantastic gas mileage, but the handling isnt as good as it is firm; VW seems to be the master of great handling, supple riding hatchbacks. Im hoping the 2020 hb might be better than my 2017 sedan. I guess youll be doing a video review later

So few Toyota Yaris sedans sell in Canada that they have stopped selling them outside of Quebec. For anyone who wants to buy a Yaris Sedan, you have to Special-order one from a dealer, and there is a HUGE cost premium in that, making it more expensive than a base Corolla. The result = No one is buying those outside of Quebec.

So sad that Yaris will be no more Toyota. I mean, Im okay with their design as long as it is made by Toyota. No hate to Mazda, they are great cars but, well, Im glad that I have 2015 Yaris and still runs great. I had no problems with it except my passenger door got busted from Typhoon.

Fun Joint Venture Fact - A couple of weeks ago Toyota announced they would be making a Suzuki Hybrid at their British plant that currently produces Corolla hatches and wagons. I dont know if there will a Suzuki Corolla Touring Sports wagon but I can hope. #MadeByToyota

Its awesome. Buy the car. Be satisfied. Need a manual, get a used sedan. Inexpensive to buy, run and maintain. Its fun, it handles its good on gas. These crossovers are just big hatchbacks and tall wagons. Folks are being suckered out of 5 grand for some height and doodads

HATCH BACK The Nissan Versa and Hyundai Accent both ditched hatch models, Kia made the Rio a hubcap-wearing monospec vehicle, and the Fiesta is simply gone. Real bummers for the class. Im glad we get this baby Mazda hatch, even if it is through Toyota

I say if you want Mk I GTI or something similar but dont want the classic hot hatch hassle, Mazda 2 is the next best thing, especially previous gen which had 0 gadgets, super simple reliable peppy engine, great manual, fantastic steering

Doesnt seem like the toyota safety sense will be on any trim of this rebadged mazda 2. That and the price will be more expensive than its sedan means the best hatchback choice will still be Honda fit or Kia Soul in sub-18k range.

Still the ugliest and getting uglier, front end of any car on the road. Ive had a Yaris for years, since 2008. Im still waiting for Toyota to clean up that front end so I can buy another one. The grill is a monstrosity.

Sad to see Mazda not update the interior. The Honda Fit seems more practical in terms of usability and space, and I imagine the new 2020 will pull out Hondas lead even further. (Also the Fit has more power)
