It would seem that shortly to be announced _Mercedes B Class Hybrid_ to be a great solution for most buyers today, as anticipated this will cover up to 30 miles all electric, and then Gas it for any long distance journeys. I attended a Mercedes Customer preview at Dortmund in late 2016 and was informed this would be included in the range. (If I disclosed any more Info would be Banned from MB for Life as signed secrecy clause) In the UK all sales of ICE Vehicles are banned from 2040 so it would seem to be the best bet at the moment. Hybrids are currently exempt from Emission Charges and Road Tax, and are obviously set to consequently retain resale values far better. Most of my journeys are less than 30 miles so awaiting the release and will be down with my cheque book asap to place order.

This is where I struggle. My Model Y Performance with full autonomous is 69k. Something like this may be fancier on the inside but lacks the range, performance and technology. These luxury car companies need to something to draw us Tesla prospective customers in and throwing batteries and motors in an ICE platform isnt going to do it.

MB designers: No need for opening for air so lets make the grille look 2x as big. Lets ship it with an ugly wheel and offer decent ones for an additional 1500Lets tell ppl that no frunk or spare because there is no room or were saving weight than add heavier runflats that wont last as long at 2x the cost: )

2: 45 Look how narrow the drivers footwell is next to this ridiculously wide center console. Who designs this? Do they even drive, or do they take buses to work? Can we get drivers of normal height to test those things?

Frunkless in New York The 2018 GLC that I drive had an MSRP of: 46, 165. With your estimate of 70K - that seems like a hell of a premium to get to an electrified version

Its really mind boggling to me that some car companies still believe people would want their electric cars to look weirdly different from regular cars.

You know, GQC would actually make more sense given that Mercedes SUVs start with G. Q can make it electric and L for a gas engine. Happy mistakes
