-blahblop123 ya well, a C5 Corvette of course cannot be compared to an F40, because even among the ranks of the most well established nameplates like Ferrari in general the F40 it was a supercar, which the C5 never was, it was mass ware and never intended to be anywhere those spheres, the early Corvette especially the Stingray C2 however is right up there with an E-Type in terms of design and legendary status. like i said, Corvette is a bit of a strange thing because it fits into quite many roles

-blahblop123 well it appears that you have a dislike towards americans too as it seems, been there many times and know many americans myself, and from my experience they are among the nicest most helpful people you can imgine, don't judge people based on what you read on YT, granted some are ignorant but that goes in general, me for example i dislike great britain and have made lots of rather unpleasent experience with english people, still i'd never say that all of them like -99, 9%- sucked

-blahblop123 and you are basically now saying yourself that the noble is quite crudely made, so why bother spending that much money if you can have all of that for a lot less IF performance only is your main goal, you couldn't care less about interior knobs, leather stitching and velvet headliners and whatnot! cheaply glued parts? you are clearly doing bandwagon talk here! and i bet you have never even sat let alone driven a contemporary Corvette or Viper. get off jeremy clarkson-s religion!

-blahblop123 of course i never judge cars by how fast the are, i was just pointing out that Corvettes nowadays are very well what most still say american cars could never be at all, which is being fast around tracks, and in this case even as fast or faster than the finest most well established european sports cars, that's all, of course those cars you named are desireable, becuase the are icons and collectibles, whether the ZR1 will be one we can't say just yet, older Corvettes already are.

-blahblop123 still BOTH cars can be had as they were driven from the factory and ARE INDEED street legal trims! i'm talking in compliance with DMV regulations (America) why do you keep kicking like a little child, it's long been acknowledged even by the biggest deniers that the ZR1 and the Viper (which was basically a 20 year old design) decimated most modern so called -super cars- on the ring with what they did, and they can actually be attained and driven the way the lapped their records!

-blahblop123 i agree on the Viper, it is in a league of its own and those who complain about its -unrefinedness- don't quite get the Viper formula at all. at the time of its first introduction it was the closest thing to a racecar for the street that money could buy. GTR of course has its own place and i do agree to some extend with you here too, however it is AWD and i don't quite like AWD applications as it is -the safest&easiest way- to make a car go fast and be stable so to speak. imo.

-blahblop123 since the 2008 C6 upgrade (LS3 engine) the interior was considerably upgraded, and you could opt for a fully leather wrapped and padded interior (sat in it and touched the materials) and the 2012 Centennial Package interior is another huge improvement, vastly upgraded, and the upcoming C7 i'm pretty sure will have that adressed majorly too as it has been a priority for GM to improve interior materials als quality as since the 90s they admittedly have lacked in that department

-blahblop123 the thing is, Corvette-s as of late do indeed hold up against the cars you named in terms of performance, Pagani, MclarenF1 are the top of the world even but still (okay the F1 is from the mid 90s) even on 5th gear (british) the guy testing the 2007 Z06 acknowledges that, and as always, the only thing he complained about was the interior quality, which has become a little bit of a -last resort- for those who wan't to dislike it and can't be all positive about it either way.

-blahblop123 well, you must be filthy rich yourself when you say you seem more 458s than Corvettes, me i'm german and i live in an average sized town, of course i don't see Corvette, Viper much less Ferraris by the dozens here, but i know of guys who do have regular jobs and drive their Corvette-s i wasn't exclusively referring to the ZR-1 as that is the most expensive granted, especially in europa where extra fees and taxation increases the price not to mention cost of maintenance.
