An expensive and fast SUV is just pointless I think. I would rather have a Landcruiser for off road so you don't worry too much, and a 911 for the road. Faster, better and cheaper.

Most people don't use them offroad, but many use them in the winter. More and more (not just in the US) want to drive SUV's, just for the higher driving position and so they feel -safer-. And many do actually need the space for their kids, dogs, work etc. If I had a family and lived where there was snow 4-6 months/year I would definately consider this car. A landcruiser + 911 would be more expensive than a CTT. Many people only want/can have one car so the CTT is a pretty good alternative.

Car reviewers besides driving very incredible cars all the time actually have a point of comparison unlike normal people who can't afford such a car. If you spend enough time in a car you find these kind of tweaks, which is what they do. They need to have zero tolerance when pointing flaws. I test drove the diesel model and it was one of the most amazing vehicles I've ever driven but I have no point of comparison.

Rich people, Cayenne drivers (especially women) usually don't know what a sports car is all about. This car is not a sports car nor is it like a sports car.
A sports car is light, small and is driven for fun, it is not a daily driver and not practical. It doesn't need a huge ass motor, it has to be agile. And by god it absolutely can't be automatic.

True its a real money maker, but its just a shame that a sports car company, and one of the best in the world at that, has to build an SUV.
