We don't buy supercars to race around tracks, we buy them to experience a thrill behind the wheel on the road, hence 458 Italia. Mclaren has built the greatest road car on earth but not the most exciting, I'll take the Ferrari. After all isn't it about how the cat makes you feel? Ferrari never loses any 1 on1 comparisons because of this, when will the rest of the car companies figure this out?

-pikken01 lol I don't like the 12c any more than the 458 btw, but being -better to drive- is somones opinion, not a fact. So no you can't just say -It's way better to drive. - because that is subject to opinion. And in every single measurable way, the 12c is a -better- car. Ok? Stop stating meaningless things without know anything about the 2 cars, it's really annoying.

this car is like having a song on your computer and having the best sound system money can buy, but the ferrari is like going to see the band live. it just has the (excuse the cheesy words) soul and passion that you want to have when you drive a car like that. you dont buy a supercar because of what it says on paper, you buy it with your heart.

Dude, English cars are Fricking Awesome. And this car (McLaren MP4-12C) for a fact, is WAY better than the Ferrari 458 Italia. And the 458 looks kinda Feminene also.

-TheSnipingAssassin it's refreshing to see a comment from someone who actually drives these cars. I have driven the Aventador & the 458. Both very good cars but very different from one another. I'm staying in Newport Beach now on business & I'm gonna try to get a test drive in the McLaren (with an open mind.

I think I like that its more understated than a Ferrari 458. Its still a super car with wings for doors so you won't go unnoticed but you won't get the same attention a bright red 458 does driving by the mall, sometimes a guy just needs to walk softly and carry a light saber.

I don't see what's so plain about it. Sure, its not as visceral as the 458, but its extremely fast and I'm sure I would be blown away if i drove it. Both this and the ferrari are greatly engineered cars, but I think i'd take this.
