So what if the bike is faster? moter cycles have nothing good going for them. On a bike you will eat bugs or be encased in a helmet that counters the very purpose of the bike which is to be in the open. On top of that rain cold heat and wind will always make your ride harder. You have no crash protection and can loose a limb or die even in a 20 mile per hour crash. Bikes are pieces of shit. Any car will provide you with so much more than a bike and in the case of these two for what small speed you loose in the car you gain in every other category by being in the car. A car is better than a bike and Id have a Mclaren over any bike any day.

I'm a rider not a driver but what I see this rider isn't using all his lean angle various places round the track so I suspect he could go faster. Car driver? He's not even wearing a helmet to start so how serious is he about fast laps and what are his credentials? Why don't you put fastest racers in the video both well experienced with the track in question, with equivalent vehicles and we see how it plays out. Here, as usual, the drivers are the big variable.

I have lapped a Triumph Daytona 675 round Cadwell in 1: 37 with the chicane after Mansfield which costs 2 - 3 seconds. That Duke could do 1: 30 ridden absolutely flat out with no chicane. I'm sure the car could lap quicker too although probably not to the same extent.

Whatever. How do you compare a car versus a bike. Put a current spec F1 car against the bike and it will get obliterated. Should we go with -street legal-. Well there are -street legal- cars that would outrun the 12C. Overall a slight yawn.

The thing is, regardless of who wins these races, a superbike like this will cost about 10%-20% of what a comparably fast supercar will cost. The average person can actually afford the bike if they want to.

No the Bike is still faster, your static based on the corners but that is refer to the biker-s experience on (counter steering). I guess he could have done it better!

Read any of the latest litre/super bike tests and lap times. the panigale can't keep pace with the latest cheap crop of Japanese bikes or the bmwss1000rr.

Obviously the lighter one is faster on the more straight runs, and the one with more rubber on the ground (4 tires) is gonna be faster in the tight corners.

A pro race car driver might get 1: 35 out of that car, but even my dorky neighbor could get 1: 30 out of the bike, and he doesn't even race bikes any more.
