Fellow Americans: Let's all do our part: call or write Ford U. S. Customer Relationship Center and tell them what their American customers want. If we all contact them, maybe they'll realize it's a profitable business decision to bring the Focus ST 6 spd manual transmission to the US/North American market. Wouldn't hurt to ask for the Fiesta ST and/or the Puma ST 6 speed manual as well!

Honestly that Nurburgring record is utterly useless because all the competitors (power wise) are AWD, but yeah, super impressive car. Just sadly completely overstyled and childish looking.
While the focus is a bit too subtle and tame for my taste, out of the two the focus would win just by not looking like a riced out boy racer car.

I find it this a bit odd this one. The FK8 is by far a better car around a track than the Focus? It has beaten its bigger brother, the RS, around the Nurburgrin by 16sec, ok the track is a lot longer but your saying it can only beat the ST by. 44 of a second?

After the Honda has 200, 000 miles on it it's pretty much still going to be the same car performance wise. Good luck getting that sort or life out of a Ford Focus let alone it still performing anywhere near its peak.

Those laptops are a LOT closer than I expected. IMHO, for price and fun factor, the Ford wins this one.
I wish they'd bring this latest version to the USA. In the mean time I'm thrilled in my 2016 ST.

Does not happen much for me these days, that I enjoy a car review so much that I actually tune in on a normal x1 speed and sit tight beginning to end. well done guys and thank you!

Type R all day, Every day.
I quite like the ST but the Type R is just that bit more agile & responsive. It can carry a bit more speed through the bends too.

That Focus ST is lovely. Aaand Ford won't sell the new Focus range AT ALL where I live. nor the Fiesta ST.
My disappointment is substantial and tangible.

By the sounds of it, you guys had the ST it in normal mode. I could not hear the pops and crackles you get from the ST in sport or race mode.
