Just bought a 520d M Sport Touring (F11. I couldn't disagree more about the older 5 series looking better; those headlamps were plain awful. (Though beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I suppose) Totally agree about the handbrake though! Silly switch on the F11 keeps making me stall. Worst feature about the car, probably.

I rely like the touring. But I would prefer the 6-cylinder petrol one. That would be rely nice, and I would like it with the efficient dynamics and that small electric motor that they have been showing. Then you could travel in cities up to 50 kph on electric power, as long as you got juice in the battery of course.

I want a new 5 series estate! with all that space with those rear seats down, just imagine what kinda things you could get up to in there with the girly friend!

True 2004-2010 touring are ugly however 1998-2003 touring are gorgeous as 2011 & after, sadly the hamburger coke Americans not into wagon; -(

Wish that BMW would sell the Fiver Tourings in the USA -- especially with the engine and transmission (definately a manual) that the Europeans get.

I prefer the Benz, it's better at what a wagon is supposed to do, plus it's cheaper and you will stand out in the Business parking lot
