-justnotcricket I think most forget this car was created and developed for India. Lets not forget how bad the Mini was when it was launched. This was a 2008/09, the latest ones are actually much better than the first version, better seats, updated engine, better driveability. Asking Brits to accept the Nano is like asking me who is used to driving American v6s and v8s all my life to settle for a small ford ka or a used focus with a tweedy engine. Its not made for England, its for India.

you white really dont understand what kind of appeal the tata nano makes to indian, if you live in india only you will understand it. matt watson ur misssing the whole point of the tata nano, its main purpose is to take people out of 2 wheels and put them on 4 wheels, and that means u can only compare this with a motorcycle so compared to motocycle this is briliant, also there many people in asia who dont even have slippers to ware and the people who buy this car think of those people

You seem to be confused by the English language more than anything else, since I've already explained the different ways this thing can be judged. But just to clear up any more confusion. Tata have shelved quite a lot of plans for this, even the hastily redesigned (after this review date) European model. None have materialised yet.

We've heard nothing about price points, but it wont be nano like obviously, it'll be a euro city car, cheaper than the competition because of Indian manufacture but closer to what we expect in a car. As for those clever touches. If Bosch can keep weight low for those 2 separate cvt's they'll need, it's possible. No concrete plans yet, just an interesting concept.

From a professional-s point of view, affordability is the most important point. I don-t want a car which gives me a burden of heavy loan, or longer repayment tenure. Also, the running cost is second important aspect.
If I can get the comfort of getting rid of hot summer, rid of cold winter waves, rid of monsoon showers in rupees 2. 2 lakh why should I go for even spending another 1 lakh. That-s too for a car whose fuel economy is apprx. half of this car.

The Pixel is a concept, do you really think that they can provide all those clever touches and still keep the price down? The Nano Europa is closer to an end product than the Pixel. Apart from the design and the safety equipment, there would be very limited difference in the powertrain between the Nano and the Europa / Pixel.

-vrny1975 What do you think I'm insisting on? Tata were planning on selling this thing here, they cancelled that and redesigned it. Then they cancelled that as well and now we await the pixel. Which will be full Euro spec in terms of style, safety etc with some clever little touches hinted at.

This car is meant for families in India who travel on bike and was produced by sole purpose for them. Yes its no where close to Europeans but can they ever produce one for that price? rofl. but do we really care frankly speaking its more cheaper then a macbook. its really an engineering marvel!

Biased reveiw, I say this because at the end he says '. I know which I would rather drive' when comparing it with an older ford fiesta but the European version will cost more and will have a different spec, the racist Idiot didn't even take that into account when rubbishing it!
