Audi A3 Saloon (sedan) review - Auto Express Martin: You are entitled to your opinion and so am I! Although no guarantee of experience (cue the pedantic point, age is linked to experience if a person has spent their career in a single industry. I personally trust the judgement of people with greater experience - this could apply to various industries and shows why their pay increases with experience. If you like this review & feel it is all-encompassing then, great. I also feel this car appeals to a 30-50 age range, so not particularly young.

That's a fair point. However with age comes experience. I would want a reviewer of a compact luxury car to have a wealth of experience of these types of cars over a number of years. If I wanted to buy a hot hatch, I'd look no further than Chris Harris' reviews, as he genuinely knows his stuff and has years of on-the-job experience of these cars, hence has built up a loyal following of viewers who trust what he says. This review just didn't really hit the spot for me.

Even though it was a horrible review, I have to say that I agree when he says that this is the best looking model of the A3 line-up and much better looking than the Mercedes-Benz CLA. Audi is not kidding when they say that this will be the best selling A3 in the world, because while the British prefer hatchbacks, the rest of the world prefer 4-door saloons and despite of all the financial woes, the U. S market still is the most important market for any car maker.

I have an 2007 A4. I hear the new ones are much better to drive, but they're just too large. Glad Audi's made this - just as the BMW 1-series coupe appeals to those who love the smaller 3-series of yesterday, so does this A3 saloon appeal to those of us who love past smaller A4s too.

Stunning Car. Downsizing from a S-Max now kids are older and I test drove this and the CLA back to back. I do prefer the CLA interior but rear room is way less and the A3 is way cheaper - especially if you want flappy paddle auto. Got a 1. 4 Auto S-Line on order. Can't wait!

Like what? Even a 1 series is more expensive, and if you really want the sedan that isn't even an option. I had to buy something in this class, even the Golf or Octavia weren't interesting if you look at what you get for your money compared to the A3/sportback/sedan.

U must live in europe then. Here in the US the G37 starts at $36, 000 while the A3 starts at $34, 000. The infiniti might be more expensive since its only built in japan shipping costs mite be higher cuzz of that

Eh. it's like shouting -hey look! I am a cheap luxury car! - yet it's still not very cheap. Not buying it. Hyundai seems like a better choice
