The issue is people don't know how to drive economically! I get 46. 5 mpg out of my 134hp 1. 6 fiesta which is a mix of round town and Highway about 60/40. That just 1mpg less than the combined figure. I have had it up to 56mpg on a motorway journey.
No matter how efficient the engine is, if you can't drive efficiently then your never get good mpg.

Oh shit, you can tell the americans had something to do with the interior. because they've ruined it. Old steering wheel was much nicer, and the central console now looks bland and empty, especially the upper part with the sat-nav. Please Ford Europe, don't let americans work on cars that were designed for our market.

The 1l ecoboost is ok for the fiesta but it has to pull an extra 200kg in the focus. drive it aggressively uphill in mountains and the engine will be in constant boost.

My brother has this mad notion that all ford focus cars strip the teeth on the flywheel, all VW's have noisey gearboxes and the gearbox in all VW's break easily.
