Aston Martin DB11 review: Aston's best car in decades?
video description
I thought (and still do) that the design is brilliant, it looks elegant and aggressive at the same time. The engineering side sounds amazing too: everything is new, lighter and more functional. The engine is a gem, they managed to keep the V12 and not lose the soul after turbocharging. The interior is brilliant and takes AM to a new level.
But now I see the reviews, the comments and what people say and it seems that I was wrong. There is a lot of disliking coming towards this car and I am genuinely surprised. Mainly because of course the DB9 was so, so good. But the DB11 is very nearly as good!
I really hoped that the sales of AM are going to rocket up and bring them the revenue to build new, even more brilliant cars. So my hope is that the real customers of this car are going to appreciate what an awesome machine it is and bring their money to AM.

I don't like it. The DB9 was simple and elegant, yet sounded like a tiger on steroids. That is what makes Astons great cars. I think they should have just sharpened the old design and add a few elements that don't distract with random design elements, like the needlessly aggressive headlights.
Also, it looks like this model has some sketchy leather work. You can see some flaws on the dashboard, right behind the steering wheel.

it's a forward thinking design at least it's progressing if it had been a db9 clone it would have had stick now they have gone for something radical and they are getting stick. they can't win. at least it's not a boring shape like porsche. well done aston martin

I think the Vanquish looks prettier and sounds better. Im also disappointed by the interior design in the DB11. It uses a lot of Mercedes tech including some interior design elements, but the cheaper AMG GT has a much better looking interior

I liked every Aston's car, and this one is no exeption. It looks like a modern AM, and it is beautiful. We need to move on. Yes, the DB9 was a bit more elegant, but all in all, this car is really one of the best Astons ever made.

-The most important new car in Aston Martin history. -
Who cares if the car looks like shit compared to the VH platforms? If they didn't have the Aston Martin badge, I honestly would have thought it was an Asian car.

They twin turbocharged it to get 600bhp. Thats only 50 more then the vanquish naturally aspirated. I agree there is more torque, but the naturally aspirated v12 in the gt12 also produces 600bhp

We need a vanquish S. The current model is stunning, give it more power [if that heavily reworked 6. 0 can take its] and reduce the weight slightly and we may have another contender for the F12

Pre-ordered it in Divine Red. Anyone judging this car without having seen it in person is wasting bandwidth, really. A beautifully sculpted British spaceship we could say.

it's not that brilliant, i mean it's a good car don't get me wrong but half of the new things that makes it stand out is already -Deja vu- like in Ferraris and Alfa.
