We take to the Ascari track in the passenger seat of the hotly-anticipated new Audi R8 DE: Actually manufacturers are also killing manuals because many of the wealthy and sports players were unable to drive them. The dual clutch and autos sell much more. Lamborghini can't supply enough Aventadors since going with semi automatic. That is the real secret. It's not the fact that the dual clutches are faster and more efficient but it's also sales and practicality. They need the Paris Hiltons and Tom Bradys of the world to buy and drive these cars. So many sports players were given clutch car Ferraris and could not even drive them. Think about that!

Personally I like the look of the final production recently, because this what an Audi should be: modern and futuristic. And the R8 really had shown its true character, unlike the Huracan which is more into aggression. Also, when I saw a couple of spy shot over a half a year ago, I'll be expecting the final ones will look like the prototypes and it really did. but I have no complaint about it.
There is one thing was missing however: how it should be sounds like. I personally think that it should be sounds as close as the Carrera GT.

That nose just darts into corners. this car will be amazing around a track and I think it'll be better than the 12C even hold tail to the 650s as I've seen the Huracan hold on to the 650s. non the less Mclarren is making great cars right now. really glad the plus version is developing 610 bhp. usually they cut the power down to the lambos but not this time.

I'm on the fence about new autos vs manuals for the simple fact autos are getting ridiculously good nowadays. Went from a V8 6 speed to a 6 speed steptronic and honestly I was not disappointed. Sometimes I miss my manual most of the time I don't. I may be somewhat bias though because traffic is shit in my city lol.

The dampers looks stiffer than the old R8 and the AWD finally reaches 100% rear and less steering angle means quicker response. Not sure about the stability, gearing, torque and traction control mapping but it must be a lot faster than the old one based on those 3 facts.

Hmmmm the costumer excuse for the missing manual gearbox bothers me. my dad who buys that kind of cars prefers driving with a manual gearbox. and i know a lot of potential customers who also do. so a bit stange i think

Can't wait to see it in a head to head with the Lamborghini Hurricane, Turbo Porsche and Nissan GTR. And although it's not all wheel drive, the new Ferrari 488 GTB.

It's sad that it doesn't come with a manual transmission, but I am thinking they will release the V8 with that option (at least I hope they do.

Saving some money and looking at a 2013 model with low mileage over this. They went too -futuristic- with the new design.
