Car Tech A to Z: C is for carbon fibre, cruise control and more Randy: Carbon fibre is used instead of metal such as steel and aluminium to save weight. Steel and aluminium can be recycled relatively widely and easily, carbon fibre can't. Great that car manufacturers provide a solution but create many more subsequent problems.

Now I remember why I stopped watching these. The intro is longer than an minute and I'm not prepared to watch it over and over again until Z.
