I just can't get over it that Land Rover Discovery 5 had gone sooooo solft, it is a girl car. Can they at least leave ONE that is for real guys? .. .. The bumper cover is weak as a paper, can't take any punishment like old Disco, if ever get a bottom out, it can cause a lot of damage and not like the old Disco that come with a real chassis, inside has less head room, and the rear just feel like someone forgot that they are drawing a Disco, so they add some old Disco line at the end of it in a hurry. Most of the time when I saw the new model come out. . I just can't wait to get a hand on it. .. .. but the Disco5 turn my old disco into instant desirable classic.

Unnecessarily full of tech.
Still unreliable? Time will tell.
Expensive to buy/fix for what it is.
But wow, stunning looks.
Capable off-road and on.
Comfortable! One of the most comfortable vehicles I-ve ever been in to be honest.
Nice power.
I still worry about poor reliability with these vehicles, I won-t buy one until it-s proven itself. I-m use to Toyota reliability, it-s hard to switch that for comfort and gizmos.

No front or rear tow hook like LR3/LR4
No rugged frame like LR3/LR4
No Landrover Name on hood like LR3/LR4 should have kept the name everyone knows (Landrover on the hood not discovery)
This lookes like a Ford focus or explorer crossever types not a Landrover
I hate it will not buy one. Bring back the real frame, people don't care about 1mpg better gas, if you want gas mielage buy a electric car.
For shame LandRover, loosing your roots, selling out to soccer moms.

I-ve yet to see the -app- work reliably - especially the seat operation. No Apple CarPlay? Pretty serious when it boasts -technology-. Land Rovers off road credentials are not in question and never have been. But electrics and general reliability. still questionable. Want an equally capable off roader with bullet proof reliability? Buy a Land Cruiser. May not be as refined, fast, economical. But you-ll spend a lot less money and a lot less time in the repair shop.

I want to see how this car performs on a rainy day in Kenya's rural roads, that's when I'll truly believe its capabilities. I've seen way too many modern Rovers act like Bambi on ice here which leads me to become skeptical of what UK drivers consider off-road. Been to weddings where I've seen the poor bride and groom doing 360s on wet earth while the father in law's 1999 Prado literally claws its way past them lol.

There's nothing bad about Land Rovers, I personally will say that all the woes being shared through the internet are probably from people who dislike the brand or a competitor pretending to be an owner or it might be that the owners doesn't know how to take good care of the car. As we all know if we don't take good care of our dog what will happen, it is the same as cars as well. So do it first before you complain.

The true identity has been lost. It looks just like all the other soft readers now. Except the new disco has the ugliest rear end I've seen in a long time. I won't be changing my discovery for one that's for sure.

I'm sure it's a great family car, that rear end though looks terrible. Given LR's reliability reputation with all that tech I'd certainly be worried to own one when the warranty runs out

Just to say, as someone from the local area, Eastnor Castle is In -HEREFORDSHIRE- not -HERTFORDSHIRE-. The latter being near London, whereas Herefordshire borders Wales.
