the point that seems to be missed by most of the commentators in this post is: This car weights 3200 lbs and it will out handle regular gas minis. Besides, most folks drive, what 20-50 miles/day? For most 2 car households that can have another long range vehicle, they drivers will be fighting on who gets this one for the day. And it will charge that 50 miles used overnight on a battery saving 110 volt plug. So no expensive electrical work needed in the home garage. When you go for the big range in the cheaper cars, they are very heavy, don't handle nicely at all, so they aren't fun to drive.

My missus did 4500km in her Cooper S this year and we're taking delivery in a couple of months. It will be perfect for the typical driving we do in the car and everyone moaning about the range below. if you're doing 2 x 50ml drives every day then sure this car probably isn't for you. But if you want funky mini styling, german build quality and your driving activities match why go anywhere else?

It just looks even more hideous than most of the other models! The wheels are just making my eyes hurt instantly, designer of them must have been on something! Just another -Scalextric- job to join all other manufactures on the hunt of lemmings who will buy their mainstream, highly depreciating '#-- models!

Should have subcontracted the whole Mini EV design and technology package front to back and top to bottom to APPLE. At least they would have recognized there was real consumer value in the concept design a few years earlier. As a Mini devotee, I'm SOOOO disappointed. Should I withdraw my deposit?

And no range extender version? They should know from the i3 that the range extender is the best solution to range anxiety and the issue that long journeys are now possible without spending hours at recharging points. No wonder the i3 Rex outsells the pure battery BEV version many times over.

Awesome. I wished they-d go back to the old style jaguar type looking headlights! I-d buy one right now if they-d change the headlights back to the old style. I-ve got a 2005 Mini Cooper Convertible as we speak and it-s a blast.

Oh boy. the lemon is now electric. Mini should work on their defective gas powered BEFORE moving to the big leagues. Be sure your dealer offers loaner cars before buying a Mini. They're junk.

Bad Review, I think. Why not say what-s bad. Crap Range, Outdated SatNav, No Frunk, No Autopilot or Cruise Control, Hard Ride, No Charging Network, Expensive as a Model 3, no fast charge.

hate interior-s on mini-s sorry but a rectangle screen in a circle just looks trash, and automatics still using a pockey up stick. no it all looks dated as hell
