If anyone can answer this for me so I understand its a shock for some reason on my 16 fusion I was thinking it was an axle as I was thinking it was rwd and it just dawned that fwd dont have axles in the rear but anyway. The silver pin in the axle if I newly purchased shocks and mounts does that come with it? I would upload a pic of it but cant. Looking to buy parts for a repair to lessen the cost. Thanks

That thing you took out of the wheel well is a Drive Hook, its pounded into the telephone poles. Its used by phone company tech's to attach drop wires from homes to telephone poles. The P-Clamp attaches to the drop wire and then onto this. It must of fell off a truck. They can only be removed by unscrewing them out of the pole, very rarely they are pulled out. The drops usually break first.

Thank you very much Eric O. Greeting from Alberta Canada. My wife's 2014 Ford Fusion has exact problem and the knocking noises actually came from the trunk. I tried few things and could not find the source. After watching your video, I immediately realized the problem and replace the shock mount tonight. The noise is gone. I really enjoy your videos and appreciate your problem solving skills.

I stocked a few different lug nuts just for POSs like this. When I'd tell customers that they would end up on a hook for a simple flat tire, they were more than happy to replace their junk with solid lugs. No reason to order a new set of nuts. Locktite is more than plenty. I am SHOCKED Ford didn't save the money themselves!

Just replace the shocks on my beatass 98 Ramvan. Front were actually broken and not even connected to the mounts. rear were original and blown-out. OH MY, the 60-bucks I spent on those cheap Gabriels, the difference between night and day. The ride was scary-bad before I changed them. now it is pretty dang good.

with my dealing with those swollen lugs on a daily bases, i use the 19. 5mm to break them loose then spin them off with a 20mm. and when their really swollen i hammer on the 19. 5mm, sometimes the caps break off and sometimes they go back into shape

there a lot of great videos out there including this one but you always leave out the most important information which also deals with safety issues let alone proper fitment and that is Nut and bolt torque specifications.

00: 38 I've also noticed that the actual nut doesn't go all the way to the top of the cap so if you don't fully seat the socket on the nut you will likely deform the nut/cap. It's happened to me.

There's a class action lawsuit in the works over Ford's chrome wheel lugs. Personally, I want sue Chrysler for the ones on my RAM and my former Jeep Patriot. I don't even like lawyers.

Not that you need to. have you ever considered to hose out the area with water to clean off all of that salt and dirt before you start to work in the area?
