Now that the F250 steering knuckle is off it is time to get the ball joints pressed out, the new ones pressed in and get it reinstalled back on the axle. Let's see what can go wrong here

Don't feel bad. I hate it when a person brings me a car and a box of bolts. Mindreader? My son installed the gear upside down on the front right shaft on an 89 Chevy K1500 4x4 then slid the cover on. It locked the snap ring in so tight that even using a press all I could do was break the alum housing. This after I warned him to check and make sure it was taper up. All I had was a newer cast housing and had to machine in the 4x4 switch because the new one didn't have the hole for it. It was a day of 4 letter words.

I like watching your videos, even if I am not going to be working on that type of vehicle. I said it before, and I will say it again. You are too hard on your self! We all make little goofs! It's real easy when you have too much work, and not enough time. Take care of your self, and you make the best videos!

I made a very similar mistake on the tightening sequence on my truck's Dana 44 when I did ball joints. As soon as you mentioned it was tighter than you liked I knew exactly where you went wrong.
I took it all apart because I was it was steering like garbage

Nice video. -- I have an F350 just like that truck - when my hubs went out i pulled the bearings out and went to the bearing house - biught new bearings and replaced the bearings - saved a ton of money - used that money to buy the special vacuum seal installer tool.

Why didn't u unscrew the threaded rod. insert it through the large hole left where u removed the other ball joint and then screw it back into the c-clamp. then u could have used it on the second ball joint like u did on the first one.

Good video. I will suggest that after the nuts are tight on the ball joints, simply use a good hammer and hit the housing of each ball joint. They will align and you will be good. Just like one would do will U-Joints. Thank you. Larry

Now that we are on the Covid pause, and you have cut the hours the shop is open, maybe you can do the 2020 equivalent of the 900 number on those days you are off. Youtubers (and others) can Venmo you 100 for 30 minutes of your time: )

Need some intro music for that fluid film too. And yeah start posting the you tube phone numbers so we can start calling them! Thats funny as hell. some people just dont get what running a business takes unless you run one!

I know its messy but I usually put some anti seize in the bore before pressing the new joint in. It just takes the work load off of the press threads and yes, I usually get it all over the place before I get done.

If you are calling a you tuber for technical advice you need to get a life and go to your local shop. As a wise man once said. you can give the knowledge but not the understanding.
