you get to come along as I replace the left rear wheel bearing Mark: I had a 2000 A6 2. 7T Quattro with tiptronic trans in limp mode and I am broke. Bought the factory service manual for the car and trans. Under automatic trans the car book says take it to an author service center. 17 hours flat rate to remove the trans. I had it out in two long days. I never had an auto trans apart before. Had it back together in four days and back in in a day and a half. If I can do it you can do it.

When you got the bearing out with big nasty, it was ok because we dont have a big nasty at work; just inferior air hammers. but I was like no way youll get it out of the backing plate without a fight. Ive had to take it off and smash it in the vise with a sledge before. Eric O the car whisperer waves his brass hammer and it falls right out. Unreal. teach us the way!

Just wondering if a customer has a vehicle that hasn't been driven for several years and all of a sudden decides to get whatever work is necessary to make it a daily driver. Do you have any type of special insurance to that covers you or the customer if the customer doesn't have any on it and by dumb luck you end up in an accident? BTW how is Hannah doing?

About hybrids I drive one and have to repair it myself since nobody works on them in my area lol. I talked to a customer of my Wally world and they said I need to travel to get worked on so youtube is my friend and I'm learning alot about my 2016 ford fusion hybrid se. I just got to get a special tool set when I work on the high voltage systems

I'm surprised you don't get more VW/Audi calls. Even with a small number owned in the close area, my experience is that they're so problematic they make up over their fair proportion of work. I was even silly enough to buy a VAG car for my Mrs. That was a mistake. Should've followed your example and bought her a Kia.

I can't believe we missed the part where bigfoot when by in a VW bus. How many miles before the rear bearing went out? Would it be good to replace both at once, or just try your luck on the other side?

I've commented before about this, but I've always been taught and practiced replacing both sides of bearing if I am doing a bearing. Why dont you suggest that to customers? Or on your own builds?

Love watching your videos Eric here in the U. K. during lockdown. What music is playing during big nasty gently removing the rear wheel bearing?

Interesting way of taking the bearing out. Just did 2 of them today on a crosstrek and I might just have to give that way a try next time.
