I used to wear coveralls back in the early 90's supplied by the uniform guys. they had my name tag on them and everything, one piece zip up coveralls with long sleeves. not all that comfortable especially in a hot shop. Bib Overalls though. very comfortable to wear over a tank top on hot days and the girls back then dug them. Eric get yourself some denim overalls and you will thank yourself for the decision trust me.

You got a absolutely love the location of some bolts holy crap you had to get the alternator out of my Kia optima I had to pull the axle shaft one does Wonder though if a flex head ratchet wrench would have helped you there or hindered you I have no idea I know it has saved me on a couple of times just an El cheapo set from harbor freight that cost 20 bucks was worth its weight in gold

That job reminded me of replacing the alternator on my Toyota Sienna. Had to drain the coolant, disconnect the upper rad hose, remove the radiator fan assembly, move a wiring harness out of the way (unplugging several connectors and removing many bolts that held the harness in place) and I was able to barely sneak it out of there without removing the radiator!

Nice video Eric, your and Mrs O s banter is a good time. We need you to get some overalls or one of Mrs O s dresses so that Ray has to do it too as you re his mentor and he plays along. At my friends wedding after the night was almost done the bride and groom swapped clothes, what a great picture that was, I still have it 30 years later.

The only part that doesn't seem to follow is how the heck fixing the alternator made the brake warning lamp go out. Did I miss something? Otherwise, I found this quite useful as well as entertaining. I hope you get tons of views on this because you took a bit of a beating during the production of this video. Much respect!

Summer heat and humidity. Overalls all day when alone around the farm. No shirt and commando gets excellent airflow while still having legs for protection. I think there may be a prerequisite of having an engine block hanging in a tree for mechanics to wear Overalls shirtless.

Hammer time, that was his only hit, shame really: -(
I have also watched the pakistan truck repairs, very dodgy but what they do is amazing.
Re winding alternators and starters, they make it look easy.
Skillful people.

I wore the overalls when I was running a engine in the railroad yard. under them I wore shorts you could not wear shorts on duty so I took the overalls off and at the end of the day I put the overall back on. It was cooler that way.
