I have a cupra ateca as a family car and honestly it’s terrible, came from an X5M and will be going back to either a range or bmw again for family car. It rode so badly when I got it that within 2 weeks I had to go and put a whole new suspension set up on it.

Well the ABT tune box isn't really a tune is it, they never live up to their claims, basically only able to modify a couple of things - mainly boost by a minor amount but all the limiters are still in place.
A real tune/remap allows you to modify boost timing and fuel as well as feeding a lower torque value to the gearbox to trick the gearbox TCU into not hitting a torque limiter.
(we can't modify the TCUs in these models yet due to encryption)

US$ 70, 000. 00 for a compact Seat Volkswagen. LOL. And these recycle cars cost less than half the price after a couple of years and are being shredded after 10 years. If you wanna burn your money, buy these cars. Don't complain getting out of bed every day to pay for it!

I think it’s safe to say the piggyback tuner is to blame. Tricking the ECU into increasing boost, timing, fuel etc is nowhere near as consistent as a an actual ECU tune, or even stock tune for that matter.

First yianni said he will beat the sf90 and lost! Now before this race he claimed he is good at launching yet knows anything about cars driving setting but thinks he is a good driver just cos of his reaction time.

What is point in Yanni when you've got so many other good drivers available He never knows the specs, forgets to set the timers, jumps the starts and is clearly inconsistent when all you need is consistency!

Yianni can't be that much heavier to make that difference surely! Maybe Mat as a car reviewer doesn't mind welding his foot to the floor and in auto he get's a little more revs in each gear

Pretty clear what is going on: Matt is better at launching cars, which explains his 4/4 wins in the quarter, but the cupra has worse aero, so it loses in the 1/2 mile every time.

Weight, aerodynamics and frontal area of SUV's makes them slower above 60mph. Its not Rocket Science Audi also lying about how much BHP its engine has could also be a factor

Automatic gear changes are annoying, a brick could drive the car in an acceleration race. Even if it's faster, it's much more fun to change gear yourself.

that cupra needs proper ecutcu remap to match new s3 overboosting and gear changes. abt's piggyback ecu is (obvious) garbage.

Conclusion: don't put your money on ABT and go with some other tuner. It's not the first time their tune is as good as nothing
