Adults know that 0-60 has nothing to do with having fun. I mean, the original MX5 will probably give you more fun that any of these on our B roads. Anyway, what I’m trying to say is that e46 would probably be most fun out of them all. Them latest M cars are too powerful. It’s ridiculous because you’ll never even use all of the ponies on UK roads, never; unless you track it and let’s be honest 80% of owners won’t ever track theirs. So what’s the point Bragging rights

When seeing this thumbnail picture, of all of them together the difference between the but-ugly latest and all the others that range from amazing to good looking is striking and very sad.
Clearly the new car is the best, or at least the fastest, but I want all the others, mainly the first one, while I would sell the 2025 car if I ever win it in a lottery in a heartbeat.
If I wanted a 4 wheel drive turbocharged car with a way to big nose. I would buy an Audi.

E92 and E46, the E30 too are the best 3 series, and i can't believe i'll say this, but they're even more reliable as they have just common issues, if you address them you're good unlike the newer bmws where you would think you have addressed all the existing issues and still manages to seize its engine outta nowhere.

this shouldnt be a surprise for the m3. its extremely fast camissa on his drag race clocked it for the 0-400m 10. 9 seconds with 0-60mph 2, 8 seconds so it is that fast stock. its now confirmed in this drag race. and it should be faster than the new m5 as only the weight difference is like 650 - 700 kg

The performance of the new cars is undeniable, however no one is going to lust over them like the E46 or the E92
They will forever be a true BMW fans halo car for the sound and the feel, something the modern cars simply cannot give to that degree

F80 series M3 and M4 is very cool (the blue car. BUT no matter how loud you make those cars, they still sound horrible. Everyone agrees on that. That engine just doesn't sound good.
Also e46 is still just perfection. Just missing the manual

Great race! S58 is just an absolute MEGA performance wise. I have an e92 M3 with armytrix exhaust, sounds awesome but negative side is when i start it up on parking lot it can make modern cars alarm system turn ON if they are parked next to me

As an F83 owner of the same blue colour, it just wins on good looks. but growing up i always wanted the e46 M3. I had two 330 e46 (diesel and petrol) and thats a beast car too. Serious grunt. M fan boy all day, everyday!

haha those e92 & e46 times are just horribly wrong. My e46 m3 is factory 6mt - best time when bone stock was 13. 37 167kph at a sea level drag strip. e90/2 m3 should be in the high 12's stock (around 12. 85 - 12. 95)

E92 might win the best sound but, E46 is the most beautiful M3. and that's make me thinking, is it possible swapping E92 V8 engine into E46 Will it properly worked and no reliability issue(s)

Kinda annoying how M3s & M4s are treated the same. I don't care how similar they may seem, they are simply not the same. With that being said, I enjoyed this drag race

The newer cars are without a doubt faster, but the older cars just look so much better (in my opinion anyway) that E46!

Lets be honest, they're all bloody lovely! I've owned an e46 & e92 M3 and loved them, I'll probably own the other 2 at some point too. Bmw know how to make a car

E46 and E92 are by far the better cars here. Brilliant engines brilliant soundtracks and not too much tech to get in the way of the driving experience.

Looking back a few weeks we can see that a bog standard M340i is substantially quicker than all of these full-fat M-cars apart from the new one

That S58 engine is really something else. Carrying all that extra weight including the 4wd hardware but still pulls harder than the much lighter S55.

Can believe the M4 CS is running 11. 1 BMW always lie about power so then saying 550 is probably more like 580/90 and it weighs less than an M5

E46 M3 14. 4 1/4mile time is fkin slow, same for the E92: D I dont know the others, but an older E36 M3 easy do 13. 5 and E46 is usually low 13sec.

Buy the E46. Convert to manual. Enjoy sunday drives and sounds. If you wanna be faster then that buy a M2 Comp and save some change.
