DO NOT BUY A VOLVO! I am the current owner of a 2019 S60 T6 Inscription and the vehicle has been a complete nightmare. It is plagued with quality issues and has been in the shop more than all my previous cars were combined, I am in my late 30-s. Worse of all, dealing with the Volvo dealership network and Volvo USA has been even a worse experience. Endless circle of taking the vehicle to the shop to have quality issues and defects documented then calling Volvo USA for resolution but receiving no courtesy or care. I bought a $60k piece of crap that I do not even trust to drive more than 30 miles from my house. Asked them to buy it back or forgive my loan, would not. Asked them to give me a replacement vehicle, would not. Even though I have a service record the thickness of a dictionary on a car with 33k miles on it. They do not care about their customers unless they are selling you the car, after that you are on your own!

Just had ny new S60 for a little over a month now. And it is everything that all the reviews prommised and beyond. Even the beginners/birth problems doesn-t ruin that. When I-m driving, I can clearly see that it-s a head turner - and it is people in all ages. And what-s the beginners/birth issues that I see? All in all - without deep diving into details, I pretty sure that the root cause is a malfunctioning onboard computer. I also see a quality breach in front passenger side window where there-s a lamination mistake with stripes between the glasses. I am scheduled for a repair. One of my biggest upside surprises is that I have on occasions had a longer mileage per liter than informed by Volvo - as much as 17. 8/km per liter. Another upside is that it is not even much more expensive in insurance than my old Volvo v60.

Such a refreshing change from the 'same old, same old' German offerings - good cars though they are. The obvious 'alarm bell' is the fact that they're going to be built in the U. S. A. A solidly built interior gives a perceived impression of a qualty vehicle; if it feels solid then the whole car is perceived as well built and reliable, often incorrectly. In mainstream cars, such as VW, this is somewhat the case. They actually fall short on reliability, or so the stats say anyway.
The American car builders are not exactly associated with well built interiors. In the market Volvo are competing in, could this be a problem?
Hopefully not; this looks a very inviting prospect.

Just got the R-Design 2019.
Ok, this car has everything from bits and pieces, a little bit of everything, it is a 10/10. It-s German cousins have better performance BUT:
1. Seats, just try them, the most comfortable seats on the market.
2. Infotainment system is fantastic and on par with rivals, NAV could be better in terms of looks, but it-s still good.
3. B&W sound system, stunning.
4. Safety features, the ones you need and use.
5. Excellent leg room in the back.
It-s not the car that will make me king of Nurgburing, but it sure makes me the king on long drives on regular roads.

The reason why you don't see many of these on the roads and why they're chasing customers with HUGE discounts on all models is that maintenance is shit. This coming from personal experience in our family with the new S90. a fully loaded NEW 78k - car. It keeps goin' back to the dealer with an incredibly amount of annoying sensors goin' off, error messages and so on.
The OFFICIAL dealer couldn't fix a problem with the brake pads sensors.
Back to Mercedes E Class I guess.
My E220 is 6 yo and over 100k miles. Never had to change even a light bulb-

As a volvo fan i love this car they really have moved up in the world you just cant diss them anymore im a huge fan of the architecture and design of their new platform how they take design elements from past cars and put then in new design the 960/s90 from the 90s are ageing beautifully now that rear end is a splitting image of them. Love it -

Front look is amazing, way better than any new Audi/BMW but the rear look for me it's just ugly. 1st gen. of S60 had beautiful rear look, I'd really would like to see this new S60 with it's looking plus refreshed rear look of 1st gen S60. That would be perfect car.

They certainly have upped their game with this classy edition to their allready beautiful and stylish range of motor's.

I like what Volvo are doing with their designs, unlike Audi or BMW that's getting more and more over styled ahem larger obnoxious grilles. Volvo are keeping it sleek, clean and timeless.

Volvo's just make me think of old Volvo estate cars. Although I'm sure their great quality cars. I think they'd need to rebrand to create a luxury brand image as strong as Bentley
