Jaguar I-Pace vs Tesla Model X 100D & P100D - DRAG RACE, ROLLING RACE AND BRAKE TEST PeterPyo: Hello -carwow! I think you forgot to mention a key aspect of the I-Pace! Could you please add an update that the engineers purposefully made the I-Pace a bit slower because they had a decision to make? They could make the I-Pace faster like Tesla does, or they could make it slower but have stronger repeatable performance with no loss in performance. AKA what you need for spirited, racy driving. They chose the latter, and the Nurnburgring proves it. This video could be improved by mentioning this design philosophy difference. Conclusion: the Tesla-s will always have advantage in a straight line. that was what they prioritized. And the Jaguar will always win in any kind of sustained performance driving event. That-s what they prioritized. Thank you and have a good day!

Y'all need to paint a line where you do your brake test so it's easier for everyone to see exactly where to stop braking. Also, for your rolling races, why don't you put each car in cruise control at the speed you want to start the race. When you count to three you all push the pedal to the floor.

Those who own a Tesla can easily say at 1: 20 that you didn't put foot on the pedal instantly (the 100D, middle car. Or Maybe you had a Chill mode enabled.
Now, they may or may not loose a race, but No Teslas (be at 3, X, or S) have such slow start, except when they are in Chill/Family mode.

In 2020, having seen videos posted by Tesla owners, I'd take the Jaguar. I don't like Tesla's Apple-esque bullying and low-rent build quality. Also, its CEO has not distinguished himself of late. I understand the Jaguar is not perfect but of the two, that's the one I'd choose.

Tesla will always perform better than ANY other comparable car because of the instantaneous electricity supplied to the batteries, whereas the petrol powered cars need some time to get a full fuel supply to the engines- that time is enough for a tesla to fly.

On the iPace - i'm wondering what kind of charging network they have. Are they doing anything to add to a network that their brand will profit from and that other EV's will get spin-off from.
What kind of range does it have?

Why do I watch these anymore! Clearly 1 or 2 things are going to happen. Someone is going to have a slow reaction time, (hence why the 100D didn't get 2nd) the other the host of the show will always want the fastest vehicle.

Jaguar really needs to make more kit standard on their cars. Everything is an option. Tesla puts everything on the car as standard. It-s why people buy 100X more Teslas than they do I-Paces.

Matt. I was thinking, you had a guy in the back seat. Wouldn't that add to weight? And possibly change the outcome? Why not just put a Go Pro in the back seat facing out the window?

The biggest issue here is that the iPace is more the size of an XC40 while the TMX is more the size of an X5. The upcoming TMY would be a much more similar comparison. #justsaying
