In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025
on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute. From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too. as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils. California and New York will do the same from 2027 on. So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer. They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.

Never had AWD and I'm in a country in Europe, there's freezing temperatures in the winter, icy roads a couple of weeks a year, snow on the roads a couple of days a year and I haven't ever, not even when roads were covered in snow, wished I had AWD - it doesn't help you with safety at all, all it does is you accelerate faster and it can get you out of mud off road. The biggest concern is braking I was never afraid of going uphill, downhill is another story. So yeah. Not worth it for me.

I think the reason why the AWD version pulled hard on the rolling start is because of the carbon ceramic brakes which has less unsprung weight. Remember AWD cars make less power to the wheels because you have that second differential using up power. So the RWD version might make about 20 maybe 30 horsepower more to the wheels than the AWD one. Personally I would still get the AWD since you can switch it to RWD anytime. Nothing will sound like the e92 m3!

I watched this video after I got home from booking my M3 comp and because of it I called my dealership right away to change my order to an xDrive lol.
It-s either a -save the manuals- M3 or a Comp xDrive one. doesn-t make sense to have the Comp RWD in my opinion

So if you regularly drive at 140+ and live somewhere where it never rains then get the RWD but assuming you don't then get the xDrive.
The comments below about turning the xDrive RWD option on are just bizarre. The RWD car wins easily then as it's lighter.

Mat, when you finally stop jumping the starts?
Change the starting man gymnastics. Let him hold the hands high random amount of time and launch when he drops them, instead of him doing the 3 - 2 - 1, which is expectable and easily cheatable

x drive in RWD mode would probably still win-the x drive probably tune a slight difference because bmw want the cars to feel the same-I think the AWD has more power at crank than RWD to make up drivetrain loss and that extra weight.

Don-t u actually drive in Sport Plus or is -Sport- in M3 already like -Plus? -
And did u check these 50 kg weight diff? More features in RWD could compensate this little difference.

When he said that the weight difference between both is 15 Kg, I though the weight difference between the pilots may be more. I mean, take Mat and Yanni as an example.
