Own an older audi
Test drove a tesla m3p, not impressed with interior quality or the cheap single segment rear led tailights impressive drivetrain and torque though, abit heavy in the turns like a boat
Imo teslas overpriced like led flatscreens when they first came out, some people rave about tech in these but i dont see it unless having an ipad glued to the creaky dash is somebodies standard of tech. german vehicles for awhile now have way more tech just look at audi headlights now you can play video games off of them or watch movies on a wall, the interiors ect.
Im not bashing the tesla but face it, its the modern ford taurus,
This video shows even a car with 190 hp less can catch up and beat the performance RC car, ev's have torque up front (1/4 mile) but thats about

There are r8s running 7s with full interior/ ac, tagged plates
That 2 seconds faster then the plaid and about 1. 7 second faster then roaster thats coming out and there are rs3s out there that are running low8s full trim
Plaid the highest performance ev that the common man can own( outside rimac )cant touch an highly tuned iroz product

Will take the Tesla over any other gas car. Or take a crazy expensive gas car, sell it and buy both an electric car and a house.
Who in their right mind would want to live with a gas car that deprisiates rapidly, cost mountains of money to fuel and wants constant maintenance, repairs and spare parts? Oh yea, I get it. It's just to make -brum-brum- noises and feeling proud because the loudest kid -wins-?
And this comes from a mechanical engineer that grew up with gears, pistons, engines and transmissions.

It would be great to see how the model 3 Performance would do if you test the drag race with a) just the front engine and b) only the rear engine if the track mode allows this

That -Yaaay. - was a bit annoying. It's the same in both cars - you floor the pedal and it does everything else.
The only difference is the mechanical delay and losses in an ICE car. and the exhaust noise. Which becomes exhausting after a while. especially on long trips.

To be fair, the Audi has an official 60-0 of 33 meters and the Tesla Model 3 Performance at 39 meters, teslas are known for their severely underperforming brakes - not sure how accurate that brake test was, more of a reaction test

Yea. But you are forgetting one fact: peak performance Tesla can only delivery 70%-100% charge. Lower than that and -HP decrease- because of voltage shortage is obvious.

If the RS3 Sportback was available in the US, I'd own one instead of my oversized S5.
Also, is the RS3 ready to go all the time, or do you have to go through a 3-step procedure to put it into launch mode first?

On the Autobahn the Model 3 Performance is -eaten- even by Diesel engined cars. And when it comes to public roads, the Autobahn is it where this amount of power really matters.

RS3 with a simple ECU/TCU tune would stomp the model 3-put an intake and intercooler in and forget about it.
