That s right, it s the SUV version of Mercedes s first purpose-built all-electric saloon, but we can assure you it s much more than a jacked-up EQS! So let s take a closer look At first glance, it s fair to say the EQS SUV does look similar to the saloon, but there are actually a number of different features. For starters, the headlights are different, and you ll also find a full-length light bar and a roof spoiler around the back. Not only that, but the SUV is 33mm wider and 9cm shorter than the saloon, so it easily looks more imposing. Take a step inside, and you won t be surprised to find a high-quality, well-built interior But then again, what else would you expect from a 100, 000 car! There are high-quality materials throughout, coupled with the same hyperscreen as found in the saloon. The back seats are also super comfortable, and there s even a 3rd row at the back Although it s a bit of a squish for adults! When it comes to performance, there are two editions to choose from, with the range-topper being the 580 which comes equipped with two electric motors that are good for 544hp & 858Nm of torque! It ll also power you to 60mph in 4. 7 seconds

Seems like the considerably better EQS. The sedan one was quite disappointing it appears (space, ride comfort) - they'll both lack behind the competition in performance, efficiency (despite claimed aerodynamics) and value but the typical buyers won't mind and Mercedes won't produce enough any time soon anyway.

Cars are becoming computers on wheels. Now rather than the engine, its the bloody screen size thats important. What a sad time for cars. Also what is with these absolutely hideous designs we get today! All these cars look the same with no character.

This might just be me, but one thing I hate about electric cars is they all try to be so futuristic, especially in the interior. It seems that everything is run through one massive screen and it s honestly pretty shit IMO

Horrible design compared to the model X. No need for a fake grill on an EV. In my opinion Porsche, Tesla, Hyundai and KIA got it right. However, Mercedes and BMW need to get rid of the grills on their EVs.

Benz electric cars look so bad, why do they try to make them look like they are from the future so bad? E-Tron Gt for example is a beauty and looks like todays cars, simple and clean.

Looks a lot better than the BMX iX. I was considering the iX, but I may wait for the Mercedes model, as long as it can also massage my balls. As I play a lot of rugby.

ahh, the MB crayon department earning their keep I see! with an EV platform they could create literally any design they like, and this is where they ended up?

Mercedes is surely the best EV manufacturer right now.
I've already pre-ordered the EQE but i may have to change that to the SUV model.

I don t get why they keep pumping out electrics without helping with a network.
Why I ll stick with tesla over these German options.
