Once again totally missing the point about classic cars versus modern SUV s. If you took the badge off every Morden SUV and hatchback, I defy anyone to be able to tell what make it is. They all look basically the same. In 15 years most modern cars will be on the scrap heap as either the electronics will be to expensive to repair, or in the case of electric cars the batteries will cost too much to replace. Whereas a good analog classic car with still be going with good maintenance and also will go up in price, like all decent low volume classic cars.

I'm sure that if somebody buys a Murcielago today doesn't care if it's faster or not in a straight line than a Kia EV, or if it has more power or more torque. He buys it because it has a V12 and sounds amazing. Is a Kia EV more fun than a V12 Murcielago? Never, if you ask me. HP is not everything in a car.

I'm not interested in a car that can do over 170 kph I'd rather have 0 to 60 time. In Australia there's a cop on every corner and if there is not it's a speed radar car that looks like a camry. I just got done doing 67 kph in a 60 zone at 210am. It's a joke here. revenue criminals. AMG GLA45

In the 1980's cars reached the 'Fast enough' level. The difference between supercars and normal cars - is the magic, the sense of ocassion. Drive 1 mile in a modern car it is numb, boring. Drive 1 mile in a 80's, 90's supercar - wow, omg, what a feeling, what an experience.

I was shocked at how powerful basic EVs were and thought they'd be blisteringly quick but the weight penalty means the driving dynamics are terrible at the moment. I mean, I could go faster on a plane but it doesn't mean I'm going to enjoy it more than driving my car.

Trust me I love my performance vehicles. but I sometimes wonder where car manufacturers are going with all this bhp that you can't even put down on roads with so much speed restrictions and cameras dotted all about.

One thing these videos of vs EV vehicles never seems to bring up, is that quick as the EV's are off the mark, many of the fast petrol cars will end up catching them and overtaking them at high speed.
