Everyone loves a V8, right! All of you car fans know that one day you would love to get your hands on a car that has one of those glorious engines hidden under the bonnet. However, just how glorious will these engines prove to be if they were left to run when totally drained of their oil? Well, we re about to find out! We ve got our hands on two no longer road-worthy cars - a BMW 7 Series, and a Lexus LS, and we re going to drain their delightful V8s to see which can run the longest when they re completely empty of their oil! Will they blow up instantly? Or will they power through? And more importantly, if it s the latter, which will keep running for the longest!

Two used cars of different history and different engine conditions.
From different times.
It's almost impossible to have a fair result, moreover toyota wasn't necessarily only meant to go without oil, I drove my rx330 without oil and my engine knocked after 1hr of driving, which I didn't even notice the oil was short. But fixing it didn't cost as much.
Of these two cars, we know both have developed faults while it was quicker on the lexus, but the question is what would it cost to repair it since actually all cars are likely to go wrong.

in the real life of well serviced engine it s the BMW which is a piece of, the successor motor to that one, the 4. 8 naturally aspirated of my ex- BMW 550i died after only 11 years and 133 000 kilometers (not miles. Very disappointing. And guess what I bought a Lexus hybrid V6 to avoid a recurrence.

Coincidence (or not, yesterday I was watching the video with the Peugeot 206, Honda Civic and Ford Focus you did 2 years ago and I was thinking to my self that for sure you would do the same with these old luxury cars

As a car lover, it really pains me to watch him throw stones at a car. Kiliing the car without engine oil is just brutal and reduces the whole experiment into a simple stunt for views. Shame

Lexus gave up without destroying, while the bmw just blew up. well in that case the lexus won. You can put oil again into the lexus and run while the bmw needs a heavey repair.

Mat: These two old cars which are no longer roadworthy
Me in South Africa: Wow, if I had any of these two cars in South Africa they would name a village after me

It wasn't a fare test because that lexus was on LPG and it should cause some additional engine ware. Please make a same test with same type lexus on petrol.

I think a lot of people would be very interested to see how well a new, completely road-worthy car would fare in a test like this

This video format is old like old old where you did the same with Ford Peugeot and Honda and to no one surprise the Honda won
