These are three of the most luxurious cars you can buy in 2023 - the Mercedes S-Class, BMW 7 Series and Audi A8! The question is, if you re in the market for a luxury limousine, which should you choose? Well worry no more! Mat s here to get hands on with all three cars to find out which should be crowned the must-have luxury limo! One area where these three cars are pretty evenly matched is the quality of their interiors. All three come packed with high-quality, soft touch materials throughout, and they all come with super comfortable seats whether you re sat in the front or back. However, there are a couple of notable differences For example, sit in the back of the 7 Series, and you re treated to an absolutely HUGE infotainment screen for rear seat passengers - it s like you re sat in your own cinema! You ll find screens in the back seats of the A8, too, but they are a whole lot smaller than the BMW s. And when it comes to the S-Class, you don t even get a screen! Thankfully though the massive infotainment screen at the front kind of makes up for this. When it comes to performance, the most powerful car here is the BMW. We ve got our hands on the M760e edition, which means it comes with a 3-litre turbo petrol engine coupled with an electric motor, which combine to produce 571hp and 800Nm of torque. The second most powerful car is the S-Class, which s the S580e edition. It comes with a 3-litre straight-six turbo engine and an electric motor, and they combine to put down 510hp and 750Nm. Then finally we have the A8, which in this instance is the 60 TFSI e. Under the bonnet you ll find a 3-litre V6 coupled with an electric motor, which can produce 462hp and 700Nm.

The A8 has never really been a proper luxury car, , more of an A6+. Lack of road presence, and a rather bland, less opulent interior. The S Class has always been the king, but the interior quality and blank/ bland section infront of the passenger could be better. The new E class actually has a nicer the interior. Its got more legroom than the 7, but from personal experience the new 7 feels more special inside in terms of design and materials.
Also the tiny 350 L boot in the PHEV versions of the W223 will be a problem for those who want to do longer distances or chauffeurs doing airport runs,

The BMW is way too flash and ugly. It might be fine for a Chinese Rap star, but for a businessman, it's embarassing. And the firmer ride and higher noise levels make it an inferior luxury limo. The Mercedes is also a bit flashier on the inside than I'd prefer, and the huge screens and cheap fitments detract. But it's the most luxurious on the road, has the best image and looks attractive outside, so it should win.
That said, for this kind of money, I'd get an older Rolls or Bentley, which are genuinely kuxurious, classy, hand-crafted cars.

I wouldn't have any of them. The BMW is yet another very ugly design & bling is for Wendyball players. The Merc is a rather boring design as they stick with the jelly-mould exterior & and that hideous iPad in the middle of the dash (a passing fad we hope. The Audi is an older design & it shows. All 3 manufacturers want their cars to look alike which is a pity I think (as far as saloons go) that the best BMW is the 5 series, the best Merc the E-class and Audi, er, hmmmm, not sure. If I could afford a car of that ilk I'd get a rebuilt Bristol 411.

The S Class and the A8 is similar to its older models and the S Class looks better than the A8. But the 7 Series is different, its really a head turner, standing out from previous models and the rear design is just awsome. The 7 series is better looking among the three as it easily catches the eye and have an awsome road appearance, and thats what you want from luxury limos. The monolithic aesthetic takes it.

I'm voting for the Mercedes, it's just classy all around, inside and out! The Audi isn't trying to hard at all, it looks like an average 4 door sedan on the outside, but we have the BMW that seems to be trying to hard. Just be you and stay in your comfort zone. All in all I'd give it to the Mercedes on looks. The BMW takes it on tech, and the audi is still playing second fiddle to its German big brothers.

To be honest, i think that Mercedes-Benz got cleaner lines better than the 7 series & the A8
But the 7 series i think its outer look, looks the most luxurious
I mean the s class looks like any other mercedes but it is just Bigger, while the 7 series is really an i catching car and its line which are similar to the Rolls-Royce makes it looks more expensive
The BMW has that wow factor

Matt a great review as always. It shows how much tech are being deployed in these cars. I drive both sedan and SUVs. If I was a corporate exec I would rather be in the back of Range Rover than any of these over the top sedans. These top of the range sedan have lost global appeal for the title of ultimate exec vehicle. Also, corporate excess are no longer respected by citizens. Thanks.

I wouldn't have any of them. Too expensive to buy, too unreliable to operate, too expensive to service and fix, too expensive to insure. Anyone that doesn't buy Toyota, Honda or Mazda needs a psychological evaluation and a visit to a free hotel where the room have sound proofing, the cutlery is always plastic and pyjamas come with long sleeves and buckles.

Answering the title of the video without seeing 10sec. S-Class is the best overall
After watching the whole video S-Class is the best
If you're really looking after an high-end luxurious car that's it S-Class all the way up
If you're looking to performance, none of them can give you that. buy the S63 E Performance instead

I know the BMW is probably the best car, but it's so ugly I don't think I'd be able to actually look at it every morning. It's not just to the level where I'm indifferent to it (which I can live with, I actually can't stand the way it looks, it's hideous.
It'd be the deciding factor that meant I'd go with the Benz

reply

For the most luxurious driving experience i would go for the S Class. Still the best at that. Most comfy. But an Audi S8 is the one i really want to live with. I like BMW's too but dear god they have become hideous things. BMW design department are on crack. Would rather have an older gen M5 than the new 7 series.
reply

I used to really like BMW's but that one (as pretty much all of them these days) is absolutely appaling! Inside and out.
I used to dislike Audis for being a bit bland. This one though.
What is the world coming to.
Yours sincerely
A very old grumpy bastard

Matt. blah blah blah. one minute this than that. and that silly giggle gave me a headache. if you dont need the long body get a bmw 550. and if you do get a cpo 2 year old panamera. the a8 looks dated. the bmw looks hideous and the mb looks like a chevy impala. cheers
reply

The new 7 Series is breathtakingly fugly. At the end of the day you do have to look at it. I just don't understand BMW's design philosophy. The kitchen sink approach of technology coupled with garish interiors results in an obnoxious automobile. A8 or S Class for me.
reply

I have driven all three. 7 series most frequently, a couple of times the S Class and a few times the A8. 7 series has top technology, crazy shit. S Class is by far the most comfortable. A8 is the best looking inside and out, but is lacking in tech. In my opinion!
reply

S class because Meecedes was born from this, Mercedes started from limousines and trucks.
BMW 7 series is nice, very techy, but seems more like a sports car disguised as a sedan.
Audi A8 is also good, but too humble, perhaps ideal for Government use

reply

That BMW is perfect for taking the wife cloths shopping. Hand over the credit card and instead of trying to find a place to sit in the store, and potentially seeing the bill; just put the backseat in theater mode and watch carwow videos.
reply

10: 10 that didn't happen in the Mercedes because it's an option as the bmw, that bmw is full package, the Mercedes isn't
Before you answer here(not Mat, you kid) go check the site of the Mercedes configurator and see what I'm talking about

reply

BMW looks like a 2018 Chinese knockoff of something. Audi Looks like a Chinese Long Version of an Audi A4 2016. Mercedes looks fantastic. ( Hyundai Sonata 2011 and Infiniti G37 taillight design. The BMW interior is by far the best.
reply

It's funny how the outrage about the 7's grilll has evaporated away and that's exactly what I thought would happen eventually. It's been a loooooong 4 decade steeple chase, but BMW has finally trumped Mercedes. Love the Beamer
