Why so many dislikes? Befuddles me. I thought this was very informative especially if there are other mechanical parts that may need cleaning like such. Look around at other potential parts controlling the air into the engine. Maybe for too rich air situations. I am at this point myself with, after, checking for vacuum leaks and finding none I still have a too rich air mixture. I am not too proud to say I need help in figuring this out. I have a 2000 Grand Marquis. I changed my intake manifold, replaced all my gas jets with reconditioned, and tested them before I installed them. I still need to test fuel pressure. I am sick of this. I can't afford to bring it to another mechanic. This shouldn't be too difficult to balance out the fuel mixture from here. I repeatedly get the P0702 or P0705. What say you, Chris?

I might need to do this on a 2001 maxima, got p0505 once. Found the air intake tube from air box severely cracked, replaced it. Its been better.
Code never came back but once in awhile gets a strange idle surging. Found too much tension on. Wire connector to IAC and the wire harness wasnt put back in place allowing too much tension. Gave it some slack and put the wire harness back in place with its connectors. So far so good.

Wow there is a huge difference. In your new videos you sound way more enthusiastic. Plus I would imagine that you do more voice overs in the new videos to reduce audio quality dropping. I cant remember when I first started watching you but I think it was in 2016 but either way, great videos man, keep up the awesome work.

ChrisFix fixed ChrisFix. while the repair was the same the difference in editing and more importantly Chris himself seems more confident and seems to have more fun than this video. I used this video to clean my '04 Stratus IAC a few years back and it worked great.

I have a 2003 Ford explorer sport that sometimes cranks over starts and then stalls unless I give press there gas pedal. I replaced the air filter, but still persist. Could this be an issue with the IAC valve and would cleaning help, or should I just replace it?

He sounds more enthusiastic in new videos. That adds to watchability of entire video. Not that this is bad by any means, but if content creator is happy & excited while making vids so will viewers when watching

Just watched the new video before coming here, pretty much the same process (unsurprisingly) but it is quite interesting to just note the sheer difference between 2013 Chris and 2020 Chris.

Cleaning it up lasted a week.
Turned on great, idled good. A week later car would not start.
Please help. No check light on.
Fuel pressure at 40 psi.

So why did they have to put it all the way to the back by the firewall on the 02 f150 5. 4 smh an its like the 3rd time fixing this issue gettin real annoying
