Hey Chris, hope your well
I have question I'm in a bit if dilimier, I've got car on stands at moment.
I'm doing a service clean and adjustment for the rear back brake drums. I was just checking the wheel cyclinder for leaks under the rubber Gromet seal but I manged to pull it off and abit of fluids come out and poured on to the bottom cornor of the shoes. I used break cleaner stright away and lightly sanded the shoe area.
My question are:
Do I need to change wheel cyclinder?
Do I need to replace the shoes (pair?
Do I need to bleed just that one wheel or both back wheels or do I need to all 4 wheels?

My drum (leading to wheel as well) doesn't move in either direction. Do you think partially open the brake line and let it drip and put it back may help? Also a basic question as I haven't checked the other side which works fine, can you just take the drum off without doing anything as long as the wheel is off as in the video or are there some bolts that you need to take off before doing that?

Hey Chris im stuck i removed the two bolts that hold the cylinder and removed the line with the bleeder but it's seems stuck i tried to hammer the cylinder with rubber one it didn't move at all. Im afraid to brake something or maybe there is another thing holding it but i couldn't find it im working in (c1500 suberban rwd 1999) any tips will help.

Great tutorial Chris now I now where I went wrong on bleeding my breaks. instead of turning on the ignition I only put the key on ON position and my break pedal goes all the way down to the floor. Does it make a difference I drive a 2000 Altima. Thanks for all your diy videos and sharing your knowledge

I dont bleed brakes that way I go the old way but everyones different I have the person in the car push the brakes like 15 times and tell them to hold it then I loosen the bleeder screw and then tighten it back up while he has it pressed to the floor. Great video though

Great video! But probably should have clean the vacuum cover. Before reinstalling the new one first? Also should have kept up with the brake fluid level during bleeding. Can also do the bottle bleed if you're by yourself.

Hey Chris I have the same truck. One wheel cylinder is bad. I replaced everything on the rear brakes maybe 6 years ago (10k miles at the most. Is it ok to just replace a wheel cylinder and not touch the other side?

Hi chris. Juste for the French translation of the title of this video. It is Comment remplacer un cylindre de roue.
You are doing good job but here I don't have good materiel for doing the job correctly

Is it one or two of them (crush washers? I found just one of them on the Banjo Bolt of the old cylinder, but in the pack for a new set there are two of them. Where does the second go? 2001 Saturn SL2.

That moment you watch a Chris Fix video gaining so much knowledge and you know just what to do and then cant use any of it cause you end up spending a decade trying to pry your rusted drum off
