I just hit a deer with my car. I was only driving about 40 mph so the damage wasnt too bad. If I decide to trade it, should I wait until its repaired or just take it to the dealership as is? It will look much nicer once its repair but the dealer will find out anyways once he runs the VIN or CarFax. Either way the truth will come out during the deal!

Whenever you going to buy a used car, first and foremost you need to have the full vin history report of that car. No free car history report provider gives you the complete and up to date vin report, for that you need to buy that from various service providers available in the market. To know more about this visit the following blog -

No one is ever going to sell a car for the Trade-in value in a private sale. There's a reason trade-in and private are two different categories. People decide to see their vehicles privately instead of including them in a trade at a dealership because it would be pointless.

Hey Chris Im looking at buying a used 2019 civic si. Its being sold at a dealership rather than privately, is there anything I should do differently or is it pretty much the same. ( Ive never done this before so anything would help!

I do not like it when people drive up in a warm car. I want a cold start. Most rattle and lifter issues will be most noticeable. As such, I either meet at someone's home, or they need to leave it parked in said place overnight.

Is there a general rule-of-thumb when negotiating price? Like just take a stab with 30% off? I'm not trying to be a douche but just know that most people will probably try to inflate their asking price anyway.
