And whats IN your tires to find out, Bart does burnouts with 2 different kinds of rubber, and he cuts open a tire with a chainsaw A friggin chainsaw Its fun and informative- its Science Garage \\The Show

5: 20 No belts, no hoses, no tires. Sounds like a locomotive to me. Belts, none on a locomotive. Hoses, they can be made out of metal (not efficient but they CAN be made out of metal, tires. The wheels normally have no rubber on them. So. yeah. Imagine a car combined with a locomotive. Normal front of the car with the steering. Rear with the boiler and driving wheels. xD

If you REALLY want to learn about tires I highly recommend the film rubber on Netflix. It goes into great detail about a tire. Specifically one the spontaneously has self awareness, falls in love with a girl, and will make anyone who gets in his way explode using only his mind. Super educational.

Interesting that he only mentions carbon black and zinc. I'm a Banbury Operator that makes the black rubber for some companies and know that there is also oil and pigment in a lot of tires, also some even have clay.

Huge fan of the series. Just want to point out that you all made a mistake in drawing the the polymer structure. Note that each carbon in the shown structure has 6 bonds, where carbon can only have 4 bonds.
reply

Your drawing of polyethylene is incorrect. The double bonds in ethylene become the linking bonds in the polymer which has all single bonds. Other than that decent video, love the mention of poor ole goodyear.

could go deeper into the topic like tire validity and quality, the main differences between tires (rain or snow ect, good or bad use. the size indicated for each vehicle and where it interferes.

Makita Drill, Makita Chainsaw, they are nice tools you can't go wrong with them and they're straight to the gist. That's the brand I like out of the big 3 too, ya'll know what they are.

The carbons in the polyethene diagram are double bonded to the carbons around them and have a total of 6 bonds. They should only be single bonded, with 4 bonds in total.

Loved the table top burnout lol. You should do a video about tires and their tread patterns and purposes, or different types of tires. That'd be totally sick
reply

0: 51 lol whoever made this doesn't know much chemistry, because whatever that thing on the screen is, that does not exist, and it sure as hell isn't polyethylene
