Also, a lot of model names make zero sense. The most established off them all, the Golf? Named after an elite 'sport' that pensioners play? In Dutch, a golf litterally means a wave from the sea. Kia names one of their models 'Picanto', which also in Holland is known as a snack that goes with your french fries.

To be fair to the ford probe, Zonda in italian means probe too afaik. As in, the Pagani Zonda. I might be wrong since I don't actually speak Italian, I just know it means that in a bunch of other European languages, so I assume it does in Italian too, but still.

3: 02 this is why Tesla calls the roadster the roadster, nobody uses it because it was overused, so nobody wants to use the name anymore. Another example is Tesla calling their other cars based on fords early cars. They use the name model with a letter.

If someone knows Spanish, there is the Mitsubishi Pajero. At least, in Spain, we call someone Pajero if they like to give to themselves pleasure between their legs frequently, if you know what I mean. So it's not the best name for a car xD
