Ok, James. I love you man. but you asked me to fight you in the comments about badges. I'm a badge guy. It's what I do for a living. The Marlin badge is cool. The Javelin badge is cool. The Corvette Stingray badge is cool. The Kia Stinger badge. is not cool. It's basically just a word in a cool-ish font. If you're going to ask for the coolest badge in the game right now. How about the Hellcat badge, the Demon badge? If you want to go foreign, how about the Peugeot Lion badge? How about the Holden Lion badge? How about the Vauxhall Griffin badge? You need to do an episode on badges How cars get their names. How the legal process/trademark battles get in the way. How companies try to steal away names from other companies. How badges and logos have changed over the years. There were some really cool badges back in the day. Talk about cloisionne emblems. Explain what that means, and why we don't make badges with that process anymore. Explain why there is a snake eating a baby on the Alpha Romeo badge.

Ok I'm an AMC, fan have been for 40 years. Just wanted to correct you on one of the few things in your article that needs addressing. SC/Rambler was not the quickest car, that honor belonged to The Machine. it was the only car in 70 that came standard with 15 rearend. Here's the part u missed. AMC made parts and sent them to the dealers for them to put on. it was called the service performance package it took the car from 14 second 1/4 mile down to low 11. That if it was assembled at the factory would have held the record for fastest performance car from a factory until dodge developed the hellcat in 2006. Check it out dont take my word for it. U did not mention the 79 AMX. Lil car big 304 won 24 hrs nuremburg race in Germany. Brake fade made them slower in corners but they still got 1 and 2 in there class. Big 3 didnt even try. They were scared of Ferrari and Porsche.

One thing I think people forget is that in the 60s car technology was so mechanical and had so much potential still unused at that point that it didnt take much of an innovation to make an impressive sports car or a world class race car. Thats why we have stories of one smart and determined guy making a winning car or a small team of engineers turning a company around. By comparison, cars have become so sophisticated today that advancements are complex and cost hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars for a top end car.

I've owned many AMC's over the years, from a factory V/8 Pacer, AMX's and Javelin, best of all two S/C Ramblers. Every one of the AMC/Rambler cars are fun to drive, less expensive than most others, and best of all, and unlike a camaro when going to cruise nights you're likely to be the only one there.

Next Vidz. Peugeot and Scion? Ey? Loved this one. Little more Jeep woulda been cool to cover. Some of the Renault cars more in depth like the grippy handling GTA 0. 88gs Bro Loved the Eagle. Goddy interior and all. Its like a Stomper toy car from my childhood.

My dad had a Javelin, then an 1969 AMX. He also was working on rebuilding a Pantera but ended up selling the unrusted, perfect condition body for 30k in the early 2000s. I was supposed to inherit his 72 Porsche 911 after he passed but he didnt have a will

All these cars look 10, 000x better than any car sold today. They just ooze style, you just know the designers let their imaginations take the lead. These days 90% of cars look so similar, especially those in the middle segment.

Born and raised in Kenosha. Lived early enough to see the plant while it was standing. Kinda depressing seeing the big, empty concrete field that sits where it stood, especially now that I actually know what was there.

Awesome video I was born and raised in Kenosha. Too bad the AMC company closed down and now its a huge construction lot with no plans yet. But hey, one of these days Im going to buy an AMC car to drive around my town.
