Always wanted to get out on the track and try racing? It's not that hard Check it out and go for a track day Kingbee: Fun video, but not very informative. More of a vlog and less like a guide to get into racing. You mentioned a couple different options including karting to work your way onto the track but the majority of the video was comprised of you passing noobs on the track. I would be really interested if you made an ACTUAL guide as to how to introduce yourself into racing and the best way to immerse yourself in it, but you already knew what you were doing and skipped many of the things that people would be concerned about.

For me, as someone who has no racing experience, I would LOVE time attack. No one on the track, constantly improving and trying new things, everything is under my control. I can push myself exactly how hard I want to and no outside forces can mess with me. Sure, moving to regular racing would be the goal, but improving your time and getting more consistent at the track is always nice, especially when things go wrong and you need to react.

I think the appeal of time attack is that it's all you. Your skill, your car. So winning is just about who is the most skilled and who has put the most time into their car. There are no random outliers like you would find in a wheel to wheel race (drafting, somebody being in the middle of your line or blocking.

Great vid My son just went with me to a track day at RRR and said that you missed one thing on your preparation list for track days. Sun Block He had a blast meeting people and seeing all the different cars. He is starting to get the race car bug and we enjoy watching y'alls videos. Keep it up.

Really want to get into trackdays but terrified my Mk1 TT will actually blow itself up after that much of a workout. The hardest shes been run is predawn mountain runs of about 30 minutes of very spirited driving and then rest before heading back down to boring roads and reality.

Not very informative, but I am going to look into the parking brake assertion. I've driven track previously, but wasn't aware that this was a potential concern. Granted, I've never had my brakes fuse to the rotors either.

Most time attack cars won't make it a full race. They are only built for that magic lap. With that being did to build a road race car that mats as fast as the fast time attack cars takes a lot of Resources

I've been wanting to do this for a while, but I've had a few things holding me back. Mostly the cost, I only own the one car, if anything went wrong I'd be screwed. One day.

Any recommendations on where/how to find a track like this that will let you on without training or certification? Im in central Texas if it makes a difference
