The problem with German cars is that they cost a fortune and you need to be within the warranty period because they tend tk brake down. The depreciation is not that much in the US because the used car market is owned by corporations. So you need to lease them and they are not cheap. I went out to get an X3 and ended up with a Grand Cherokee Overland. I mean you cant beat what you get with a Grand Cherokee for the money you pay. You might feel ok paying 600 or 700 a month but I am fine with my 480 payment. In this example the car starts at 50K and you need 65K to make it nice. The Grand Cherokee Overland is 52K and with the discounts it gets down to 46K or close.

I really, really wish the RS3 could be had without that sunroof. I know it's standard even on the A3, but for me it's a significant con since I tend to keep my cars a long time. Panoramic sunroofs tend to creak, pop, and rattle, and these cars are no exception. Plus all sunroofs can leak or the drains can clog up and mess up your interior. And on top of all that you could probably save 100 lbs with a hole-less steel roof, which isn't too shabby on a car that only weighs 3600 lbs. Funny how you can't get a sunroof on the Golf R even if you want one, but they force it on you with the RS3 even if you don't want one.

When it comes to manual seats, I think it all comes down to how often do you really need to adjust your seats? I'm very particular about my seating position, and once I get it just right, I don't want some jack hole whose only going to be driving it for 15 seconds while parking it, to be screwing with it. Also, power seats are heavy, expensive, and can break down and/or be glitchy on quality, and all so you can say that you got 'er loaded. That might have been helpful when cars used to maybe come without power and air, you know, in the 60's?

Tested one recently. Wasnt impressed other than the engine note. Steering was numb, and I dont want a car that has wider wheels on the front to help reduce its understeer tendencies. Good tech but Im not sold on the build quality when compared to other Germans. Tested the C-63s which was a blast but build quality also seems to be down from the past and I didnt like the gear selector as a stork. YUK. Finally settled on a fully optioned M2 Competition and love it.

Audi does not include power seats in the RS3 because it's basis is performance. It would be ridiculous to add an estimated 100 pounds of weight to a racing sport car. It's not meant to be a daily driver. That is one thing that infuriates me about these car tours. Logical arguments for the design language is completely disregarded.

A 400 hp/ 360+ lb ft of torque SUBCOMPACT with all wheel drive and a 3500 lb curb weight for LESS than 100k, and Doug gives it an acceleration score of 8 out of 10, and a handling score of 6 out of 10. Moronic, to say the least. The RS3 is THE best subcompact sports sedan on the market today, bar none.

Personally I prefer manual seats over powered. It's faster, they're lighter, you don't often have to change the position if ever again after the first time, and they're cheaper to begin with and cheaper to fix or replace if they ever break or stop working. Power seats are a completely unnecessary excess.

4: 30 VCDS will fix that. 5: 40 its been like that on the A/S3 since 2012. Im feeling this video should have just focused on the RS stuff and not the existing A/S3 stuff as itll give folk the feeling they have to buy an RS for say Quattro, which exists on the A and S models.

i hate almost all about this car but sound brings up memories of good old s2 audi, that inline 5 engine is still best sounding engine, v8 is different league. other that that i would buy m2. cant live with idea that rs3 front tyres are wider that back ones as well

The dash is sooooo boring and something from the late 2000's. And I'm gunna pay 50, 000 for at least 4 blank switches right in my face? NO WAY Though the gauge cluster and horsepower outputs are quite impressive, an AMG product is much more satisfying lol
