Today, we're checking out two impressive Audi models -- the 2021 Audi RS6 Avant and the 1994 Audi RS2 Avant, which are fast Audi wagons from 25 years apart. I'm going to go over the differences between these two cars, and then I'll drive the RS2 and RS6 Avant to let you know what I think of the driving experience. Todd: The RS2 is still my choice. I owned and tuned a 1995 S6 to true RS2 spec. and then some. What a blast and inexpensive to ensure. Fast, tight, reliable. and defined euro-sleeper.

14: 48 - I hadn't noticed in the original RS2 video - the front seats have the fold the front seats to get in to the back more easily levers! _IN A FOUR DOOR VEHICLE! _ It really MUST be tight to have those! (My BMW i3 has those, too, but it barely counts as 4 door, since the rear doors are half-length suicide-style, and can't be opened unless the front doors are open)

So wow, I believe, that an Audi engineer from '94 wouldn't be so much impressed about 25 years evolution of the RS. Twice the power. So what? Still runs on the same fuel. Hm? Wipers, mirrors, 4 stroke engine. Nothing changed! And look at this blue! They couldn't even find a new color? What did they do in a quarter of century at all? Thissss? Nah.

I'm just gonna say it. I don't understand fast wagons and I never will. I think they're all ugly, if you need that much cargo space then you carry way too many things, just buy an SUV. Wagons are an archaic car design that should just be abolished entirely

The grill on the RS6 and all new Audis actually don t have that big of an opening for air to flow through. Half of the grill is blocked off especially in the middle where the actual bumper braces are. It s all for looks mostly.

Another Quirk: Parts (or all) of this video are shot on an iPhone. See the lens flare and reflections starting at 05: 50, characteristic of the latest iPhone.

I'd get one but I can't afford the maintenance and the inevitable post warranty transmission replacement. -Signed, Disgruntled former Audi owner.

Hey Doug, check out the new Mercedes E Class Wagon. It is sick! Just discovered it on Mercedes-Benz website and they even have an AMG as well.

When are you making an 07- 08 RS4 video? I emailed you weeks ago about it. Very rare car and only 2k imported into the US. Plus it s a NA V8.

Put me on some winding back roads like the ones I drove growing up in Westchester County, NY, and I'll take a car like the RS2 every time.
