The Worst Car I\'ve Ever Worked On Der: Pro Tip: Never buy anything with Chrysler in it. 1998-2007 Mercedes2009-2020 Fiat, Jeep, Lancia, ChryslerChrysler ruined Mercedes when they merged with Daimler. Look at the coincidence: Mercedes was ultra reliable (like Toyota) until the 90s (the W124 Diesels still drive in Africa with 1M miles on the clock), then Chrysler came and the cars were rusty and had electronic failures. Since they left, the European models suddenly came back to quality, Taxi drivers will agree. However they are still not as reliable as the old W124s, but way better now and above industrial average.

weird. i have an 07 sebring with a 2. 7 ltr v6, bought it for 5500 with 102000 miles on it. we've put over 70, 000 miles on it and so far ive only spent about 1600 in just maintenance. but thats 2 full sets of tires, brakes, oil changes, i did the plugs once, alignments and ive replaced an alternator. i gave the car to my wife, she still drives it and it runs just fine. now i have an 11 chrysler 200 its got a 2. 4 but its a Mitsubishi engine the same one they put in the lancers. bought it for 6300 with 106000 miles on it and it has all the bells and whistles for that year model in 2 years ive put almost 47000 miles on it and with the exception of a 50 throttle body and a new alternator ive only done standard maintenance on it. same thing tires, brakes, (which if u do it once is free for the life of the car, oil changes, did the plugs and coils when i first bought it. i dont get the big fuss about them being so bad. i know the 2015 and up models had some transmission issues but if u count the reported failure rate and compare it to the amount sold the percentage is still in the single digits. i just dont get all the hate every car has it problems even ur precious toyotas and hondas

My sister lived in the UK for 5 years, when I visited her I was fascinated by the stylish French, Italian and Spanish cars sold there- struck up a conversation at a Tesco and the gentlemen said those cars look nice but are not reliable- in the shop all the time. He said in France, employment is basically guaranteed and hard to fire anyone so the workers are not that motivated, said same thing in Italy. He drove a Toyota Corolla variant, no problems.

SCOTTY. It would be very cool and helpful, if you could put a quick pick guide together in one place of what to look for in a new or used vehicle. NOT just talking about mechanical/ power or stuff like that. But safety like the single side bar thing in this vehicle is a good tip. MAYBE a quick guide of what types of things to check or where. LIKE for recalls/ safety/ or things like options people don't think about when picking a vehicle to buy.

The 200s were great looking and handling cars, but not reliable in the slightest. A 4 cylinder Camry isn't much better. Chryslers can be reliable when they're equipped with Hemi V8. Friend of mine with an '05 300C has 125k miles and had very few issues over the years, it was formerly her Dad's. Only issues they had to pay for were a fuel pump, power steering pump and alternator. Transmission still shifts smooth as butter on it.

Hi Scotty i really like your all videos and you answer questions and guide people. I would like to ask you a question about new 2020 Toyota Corolla automatic transmission they all come with CVT transmission so my concern is are CVT reliable in long run and I live in Canada where it really gets very cold in winter for over 4 months in a year. Your answer will be much appreciated. Thank you

I got a 200s 2012. It sucks but I work on it myself. I think that's the v6 because it has the S on the seats. The brake pad thing is true. I had to go back to auto twice but it's not a bad car. My radio was draining my battery, I gotta turn off the radio before I cut off the car. I'm put in a aftermarket radio. I change the oil colder seals and brakes. Purchased it for 900. With 73k miles.

Hi Scotty Just wanted to say that in September of 2016 my wife wanted a new car, we went to World Toyota in Atlanta and found a 2017 Camry SE she liked, the sticker price was 26, 900. We traded in a 2002 VW Passat that did not even run, they sent a roll-back to our house to pick it up, we paid 18, 500 cash for the Camry and last week it just turned over 12K on the odometer.

These weren't really sold for the 26K sticker MSRP. Like almost every other Chrysler product at the time, and even more so for the 200 model, dealers have put ridiculous amounts of discounts on the hood to move these. You could very easily get new one for 20K. For this amount, and under warranty, the 200 was a reasonable basic disposable transportation.

All Fiat MultiAir engines make that noise even brand new. MultiAir engine's intake valves uses a valve tappet (cam follower, moved by a mechanical intake cam, which is connected to the intake valve through a hydraulic chamber, controlled by a normally open on/off solenoid valve. Those valve tappets and on/off solenoid valves are noisy
